Betting contest for DH Winter

Betting contest will be another way you can win some prizes if you plan on following DreamHack Winter 2013. Try to guess the winners of every match and accumulate points throughout the tournament, and you can end up with a nice bundle of SteelSeries prizes!

DreamHack Winter's $250,000 tournament is just around the corner and another one of our many contests will require you to successfully bet on all or most of the matches in order to reach the prize.

The user with the highest point count at the end of DreamHack Winter will win the following prizes – SteelSeries 5Hv3, SteelSeries Sensei and SteelSeries QcK Heavy.

As you can see in our viewer's guide there will be a total of 27 matches, 20 in best-of-one and 7 best-of-three mode.

At the moment only 6 match-ups are determined as the groups will use the GSL format and two teams are yet to secure a place through the BYOC qualifier.

We will do our best to add every match-up as soon as possible so you can place your bets on time.

Here are the rules about this competition, some slightly altered compared to usual:

- All participants will start with the same amount of fictional money (found under the betting icon in your account's menu)
- The user with the highest balance at the end of the tournament will claim the prize
- Even though best-of-one group stage matches can go into overtime, we will not count the bet as a draw in a case like that, but instead as a victory for either team. That means that there will be no draws possible during this tournament.
- It is not allowed to use multiple accounts to increase your chances or to start over
