NiP edge Recursive

NiP are one step closer to making it into the playoffs after edging Recursive 16-13 on de_inferno.

NiP started off on the favoured Counter-Terrorists side as Recursive picked the map from the remaining two.

The Swedes managed to win the first pistol round, which gave them two free rounds afterwards. A chance to get into the match was offered to the Frenchmen in the first gunround, although they were not able to capitalize on that as a last second defuse denied them a round.

Even though two plants allowed Recursive to buy in the following two rounds, an afterplant three-versus-three situation did not work out for them, as well as a push B, which was dealt with by Adam "friberg" Friberg, who took a tripple kill in the process.

NiP got off to an amazing start to the tournament

From there until the 12th round, things were getting from bad to worse for the Frenchmen, as NiP started stacking up rounds.

At 11-0 Recursive finally got an entry to the match as they pushed A long, where they managed to pick off three players, making it a four-versus-two, which the Swedes were not able to turn around.

All three remaining rounds went to the hands of the underdogs, mainly thanks to performances from Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez, as NiP were unable to win two clutch situations.

Switching over to Terrorists, the defending champions went for an A attack through house, from where they took over the bombsite easily, making it 14-4 after two anti-ecos.

Good individual performances weren't enough for Recursive

The last chance to stay alive in the match was saved by Quiquerez once again, as he got two essential frags in a two-versus-three situation while retaking the B bombsite.

Recursive then started taking round by round thanks to individual performances, including Kenny "kennyS" Schrub's one, not giving NiP much of a chance to close the match except for one failed B bombsite peak.

Schrub and his teammates had seven match points to turn around, and it almost seemed they could be able to manage that, although in the 29th round a three-versus-three was dealt with by NiP in a decisive manner as they took the remaining round to win the match 16-13.

I'd say that "NiP survive Recursive scare" implies that NiP were down by a lot at any point of the game and they managed to climb their way back into the game.

NiP regularly have trouble finishing off games where they already have a huge lead. Then again Nuke is a biased as fuck map.

lcuk and pro are twocompletely different things, they are of course pro, but pros also have and dont have luck, so if this pro NiP team didnt have more sperience and a little more luck today then the score could be 15:15, but then I'd still go with NiP winning overtime anyway though as ya, they are better, but the point is u can be pro, but if u have no luck u will still lose :)
