Recursive come back; take down US

Recursive come back from behind to take down Universal Soldiers 16-13 on de_inferno. They will meet fnatic in the quarter-finals.

Universal Soldiers got off to an amazing start on the first side of de_inferno, as Recursive were starting as Terrorists for the third time in a row.

The Frenchmen weren't able to do just about anything in the first six rounds, mostly thanks to Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski's defenses at the B bombsite, which made the score 6-0.

That was before Recursive got a first round of their own after Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez, who managed to make everything out of nothing, winning a two-versus-four situation almost on his own.

Neo & co were stomping over Recursive on the first side

Not much was left for his team for another six rounds that went in the hands of the Poles, including a round where Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas-Filip "Neo" Kubski combined an agressive play for three and two frags, respectively.

Recursive were finally able to capitalize on first frags by Kenny "kennyS" Schrub in the last two rounds and went for each bombsite, which made the score 12-3 at the end of the first half.

The second pistol round saw Universal Soldiers planting the bomb on A bombsite, although they left Quiquerez alone in the pit area behind the cross, from where he was able to pick the Polish team one by one to make an amazing ace with three headshots.

Quiquerez continued in his performances in most of the following rounds, as he kept first fragging early, which helped them lower US' lead to five rounds.

The MVP of the match couldn't believe his own eyes

Only one round from the following nine went to the hands of the Poles, Quiquerez continued showing strong performances, first-fragging again and taking a tripple while defending A on the way, evening it out at 13-13.

first frag again, finally capitalizing on it after a B push, 12-2

kennys first frags, capitalize again after A push, 12-3

Maniac first fragging again, making it 13-9 after eco
A B plant wasnt enough as US disappointed to defend a 4v4, 13-10
fake B plant was about to pay off, Maniac defends A all by himself, taking a tripple, 13-12
early pick by kennys allows rce to tie at 13-13
14-13 after early picks, although leaving Uzzziii in the back of the site 13-14

Even though US were able to get into the B bombsite, they once again left a player behind their back, which was Kevin "Uzzziii" Vernel that time, who managed to turn a four-versus-three into a won round.

Both of the remaining rounds went into the hands of Recursive, who have dealt with an A bombsite attack twice in a row in an easy manner.

It's gg for US. I don't see them bouncing back from this. It looks like removing Loord and kuben hasn't changed ANYTHING. Once again they couldn't close the game. Taz asked about major tournament couple months back, so he got his shot. Biggest tournament ever and they're crashing out in group stage after losing already won game. However this time to random team and in bad style :( ggkthxbye for US

They are skilled players, but it is random team as for now. US cannot be serious about this game if they're losing to sth that is still nothing more than mix team. Great win for Recursive and I'm happy for them. For US it kind of shows that they are not someone that can be treated seriously in CSGO. Time to figure out what to do with life and stop progaming :/

I think removing Kuben and Loord was a bad, their only problem back then was having motivation. Look at LGB, they formed the team not to long ago and they are improving day by day, tournament after tournament while US is regressing at the same pace. US's only chance of challenging the top 3 teams in the world is if they bring back Loord and Kuben.

It wasn't bad move. It basically turned out to be irrelevant move. Bringing back Loord and Kuben now would also be irrelevant. With both lineups they can challenge top 3, but... they cannot win with them. Sorry. So... time to retire.

Its Ok TaZ..You guys were the best team in 1.6 imo sick teamplay. This game isnt cs its a mix of COD and source its not about aim control anymore, not about tapping anymore, not about movement anymore etc. This game wasnt even developed by valve. IMO you should retire and focus on some other game or get a job cause this game is not gonna last long and will die like cs source for sure remember CGS?
