SK Gaming remove xelos

DreamHack Winter 2013 has made its first victim as SK Gaming have parted company with Jerry "xelos" Råberg.

The Swedish team were a major letdown in Jönköping, finishing at the bottom of their group following defeats to CPH Wolves and Reason Gaming.

Upon returning home, the team dispensed with the services of Jerry "xelos" Råberg, who had been part of the former Lemondogs squad since May.

This is the second roster change for SK Gaming in little over a week after Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi was given his marching orders in the build-up to DH Winter.

"Today, my future is unclear since SK decided to remove me from the lineup," Råberg wrote on Facebook.

"It has been a joyful ride since Lemondogs and I'd like to thank both the SK-gaming team and management for the opportunity given.

"I will hopefully return and compete in the same level in 2014. Thank you fans, friends who have supported and believed in me this year!"

The news leaves SK Gaming with a three-man roster as it remains unclear whether Andreas "MODDII" Fridh, who was a stand-in in Jönköping, will join in permanently.

SK Gaming now have:

Marcus "Delpan" Larsson
Faruk "pita" Pita
Simon "twist" Eliasson

yea i would also say that twist is more skilled in CSGO at the moment, but give them time to practice seriously and they'll shine aswell ;) BARBARR is currently in ESC-Gaming i think. FYRR73 i have no idea :/

I don't think SK can ever be a winning team. I heard for example that pita is working a full time job at the same time and I doubt anyone can put in enough hours to compete at these levels while having a full time job at the side.

2011-2012 sk wasnt best, they lost the majority of tournaments they participated in, moreover they had low salaries. SK can support individual players like rapha or MC, however i dont think rapha gets good salary.

Typical bs... up and coming team (Lemondogs) does well, gets good results then finally gets picked up by a huge org like SK and then they start removing players for "better" players which kills any chemistry they had and usually kills the team. Reminds me of icsu when mTw picked them up, exactly the same thing happened.

Removing xelos is probably the wierdest thing ive ever seen, hes such a great player overall. And hes probably one of the biggest talents in Sweden right now. Sad to see him go was fun to see him go mental vs NiP 3x times :)

I think a sick lineup under SK would be: Zajp berg cype twst +1 There all real life friends that have known eachother for years and played together for years! In my eyes its kind of a NiP thing they all have chemistry and are all amazing ingame and real good friends out of game! I dont really know who would awp though . Maybe getting pyth/xelos as a 5th then berg calling then zajp awping
