US lose team; AGAiN return

UniversalSoldiers have witnessed the departure of their CS:GO team, who have decided to go back to the name AGAiN.

The news comes as a huge surprise as the former ESC Gaming team had been recruited by UniversalSoldiers just four months ago as they looked to go back to their roots and get closer to their fanbase.

Under UniversalSoldiers' banner, the team finished 3rd-4th at the RaidCall EMS One Finals and 9th-16th at DreamHack Winter, and qualified for the SLTV StarSeries finals as well the ESEA global finals.

TaZ & co without an organisation yet AGAiN

In a statement issued by Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, the Polish player hinted that the team were unhappy with the support they were getting from US and suggested that they may create their own organisation.

"Today we would like to annouce that we will no longer represent Universal Soldiers," Wojtas said.

"We prefer to keep details about this decision from public, but we think that it was the only reasonable move for both parties. For the past two years our team has been linked with many organisations, and all of them left us wondering about our choice of commitment.

"As we write this statement, we are currently unsure of what our future holds. We are looking into some options, we would love to find a good organisation, which would finally support us (…) and let us prove our worth, or maybe it’s finally the time to create our own company.

"We will attend SLTV tournament thanks to help from ZOWIE GEAR, who once AGAiN came to the rescue, and will support us, so really big thanks to them for making it possible!"

HLTV.org understands that, as it stands now, it looks very unlikely that the team will be able to attend the ESEA Finals from January 17th to 21st, unless a sponsor comes in to fund the trip to Dallas.

AGAiN have:

Poland Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas
Poland Filip "Neo" Kubski
Poland Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski
Poland Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski
Poland Paweł "byali" Bieliński

the AGAiN players might have better luck finding an organization if they occasionally won an event or even placed top 3 consistently. what exactly is supposed to make a top org spend money on these guys?

Virtus pro is a bad choice for those who want an org which would appreciate and freely sponsor teams. They dont have successful teams, that causes finance problems. So, there is no doubt they'll not risk to spend their money to nowhere, especially when this org can't afford regular lan-events. Moreover, VP just does not work with foreign players, they have no experience and opportunity to do so.

One of their biggest regrets as a team was not turning PGS into a "brand" name. kind've dont blame them... what was their most stable org...? Vitrolic?? ESC? MYM? Idk.. with what theyve paid out of pocket or with the help of qpad/zowie they might be better off. Carmac, sponsor these guys! IEM - Neo ;D

I've seen TaZ today playing without the US logo, was wondering if they're left without an org again, and now this news came up. Creating their own org would be kinda risky, but also the best choice for them I think, since we all know how they end up joining any org;)

They brush up on their plays to get on top. And i bet they are going to keep it up even when things turn against them. Whether they find an org or not, their squad will stick together until hope leaves them.

Owners of organizations decide by themselves where and how to spend their money as well as who to trust. However, i dont think that your example is good. If some team often wins tournaments or takes prize places, this kind of team will find someone to sponsor and back up.

SK looks like a better bet than Again, SK took a chance with them as they are a new team and unfortunately AGAIN has peaked and has shown nothing to say they are a top team from the very beginning of GO.

what a surprise... it was sure that polish orga. could not hold those three big names more then this. Im even surprised that it was 4 months cuz i thought that they will decline it after first payment which would not come. They wait 4 month? or US had just cash for three first months. Maybe it was good choice for US orga. now this name is kind of popular xD IF i remember correct Taz said US is his/their last orga. so probably they have some offer now or good moneys coming soon with their own option for future, or just want take some easy money from SLTV then part over( which i hope will not happen). Btw. Good Luck u surly deserve it after those couple years lack of luck.

ex VG, ex US and ex CPHW Three Top Teams without a organisation. Alliance/EG, Millenium, Acer and Virtus Pro are the only western Teams left who could support those Teams with a salary and travel support. But wouldn't be surprised if Virtus, Acer and Millenium will focus on other relevant esport games. gl Again
