SLTV StarSeries VIII viewer's guide

SLTV StarSeries VIII Finals will kick off tomorrow at 14:00 with two matches taking place each day leading up to Sunday's grand final at 19:00 .

Full schedule for this weekend's SLTV StarSeries VIII Finals has been announced, so we've put together a comprehensive viewer's guide to go together with our preview coming out later today.

As announced prior to the season kicking off, a total of $15,000 will once again be split among the four teams competing in Kiev, with the distribution being the same as last season:

1. $7,500
2. $4,000
3. $2,000
4. $1,500

Contrary to previous seasons however, SLTV organizers have opted to cut down the length of the Counter-Strike tournament to three days from four, therefore making the days slightly more packed with action.

Check below for the full schedule of SLTV StarSeries VIII Finals, where Astana Dragons, Natus Vincere, AGAiN and GamePub will be battling it out for the $7,500 first place prize.

Friday, December 20th
14:00	Astana Dragons	vs. GamePub
19:00	AGAiN	vs. Natus Vincere

Saturday, December 21st
14:00	Lower bracket final
19:00	Upper bracket final

Sunday, December 22nd
13:00	Consolidation final
19:00	Grand final

No public GOTV will be available for the tournament, though the organizers will have an official stream in Russian on-site as well as a number of streaming partners in other languages.

Due to only six maps (de_cache, de_dust2, de_inferno, de_mirage, de_nuke, de_train) being in the SLTV map rotation, this season's finals will feature a slightly different map picking system:

1. Team A removes a map
2. Team B removes a map
3. Team A picks the first map
4. Team B picks the second map
5. Coin toss for the final map

Teams A and B will be decided by a coin toss in each round, so the higher seed will not receive any advantage in the map picking process; only an easier bracket draw.

HLTV.org will not be on-site in Kiev but we will nonetheless provide you with hot matches, statistics, match reports, GOTV demos and more from 2013's last CS:GO tournament.

WTF, really sltv WTF. Since Astana will win with Gamepub for sure, both Again and Navi will be trying to lose their match to meet Gamepub in Lower Final and then get to Grand Final from there since those both team - Again and Navi will defeat Gamepub in Lower Final 100%. FUCK LOGIC.

first of all , winner of loser bracket has to play with loser of consolidation final .. there is no straight way to get to the grand final from the lower bracket.
