AGAiN to grand final over GamePub

AGAiN proceed to the grand final of SLTV StarSeries VII Finals after beating GamePub 2-0 (21-18 de_inferno, 16-12 de_train).

GamePub defeated Astana Dragons 2-0 quite comfortably in the first match yesterday, which was followed up by AGAiN edging out Natus Vincere on three maps.

The two winners were up against each other for the place in the grand final. The match started off on de_inferno and it was the Poles who started off better, as they made a two-versus-three A bombsite retake successfuly for 2-0.

The same apartment strategy as in the pistol round worked out for GamePub that time, as they took two quick kills and the Poles were forced to save. With a clean B bombsite push the score was tied at 2-2.

That was before Paweł "byali" Bieliński started his streak of frags when GamePub tried attacking A three times in the next five rounds, as he was quickly at thirteen frags at 8-2.

byali was on point during de_inferno

A few more attempts by the Balkan lineup ended in a disaster, as AGAiN won in two two-versus-two retakes, as well as a four-versus-two failure saved by Filip "Neo" Kubski thanks to a well placed molotov and a grenade.

Nestor "1NTEL" Tanić managed to clutch a one-versus-two situation over at the A bombsite and with a quick push to the same one, the teams switched sides at 11-4 in favor of the Polish team.

It seemed everything was over for GamePub when AGAiN won the pistol round, but the Serbian-Macedonian-Bosnian lineup kept racking up rounds thanks to multiple individual performances by Nemanja "k1Ng0r" Bošković and Luka "emi" Vuković to make it 14-12.

Then Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas showed a perfect A attack, taking two flick headshots off of GamePub, who recovered with a round of their own afterwards. An anti-eco and a three-kill round by Nikola "NiKolinho" Kovač secured an overtime.

AGAiN move on to the grand final

Three quick kills by Anel "NENO" Ceković opened up the first side of the overtime, but two split strategies by AGAiN put the Polish side back to a lead. Two remaining rounds were exchanged for a 3-2 lead in favor of the Poles.

AGAiN managed to open up thanks to two good nades after switching to the Counter-Terrorists, and with Wojtas and Bieliński combining for four kills, their team had to win only one of the remaining three rounds, which they did at 21-18.

After losing the knife round on de_train, AGAiN decided to fake upper and eventually attack lower, which met with a good retake on GamePub's side for 2-0 in the beginning.

A bomb plant helps the Poles buy, but despite a first frag, GamePub managed to defend once again twice in a row. With only pistols, AGAiN managed to get into the A bombsite and won themselves an unlikely round, adding an anti-eco and a lower bombsite push to their score afterwards.

This time it was Ceković who managed to do more than expected in the eco, as he flanked for three kills with a stolen AK-47 in hands for 5-3.

NiKolinho kept GamePub in the game on de_train

Only an ivy push slowed AGAiN down as they took two rounds afterwards thanks to a flank by Wojtas to the connector, which Bieliński put to good use with three deagle headshots on upper.

Only one round of the remaining four went in the hands of the Poles, which made it 9-6 in favor of GamePub before switching to Terrorists. There, they struggled in the beginning during the pistol round and the antiecos, but then they managed to win an unlikely attack on upper with Kovač securing three kills of his own.

Two following rounds were not as successful and with a failed plant by Tanić, the score was sitting at 10-12. Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski then got himself four frags while defending upper, putting his team in a comfortable position at 10-13.

Another flank by Ceković and an unexpected two-versus-three was all she wrote for GamePub, as AGAiN closed the game out with sweeps on upper at 12-16.

Inferno 1st side
-2v3 retake for again, 2-0
-same strat as in the pistol opens with two frags, three save, 2-1, B push, clean 2-2
-fake B didnt work, 3-2, byali 3 kills, 4-2 another A attack, a single nade stopping a B rush helped again to 6-2
-another A attack ended up with a 2v2, 7-2, byali defending again with three kills for 8-2
-B defense for 10-2 after neo saved an almost lost 4v2 with two grenades
-2v2 again 11-2
-intel clutches a 1v2 for 11-3, quick A push for 11-4
Inferno 2nd side
-again pushing b for the pistol, gamepub unable to defend, 14-4 despite good eco rounds
-pasha just about losing 2v2, 14-6, defending A, 14-8
-a slow strat from again meets with kingor 4 kills, 14-9
-a quick strat makes it a 1v2 from pasha, 14-10
-emi defending B all on his own, three headshots make it 14-12
-TaZ with an insane 2 kill action help again make it to three map points, gamepub answer with a round of their own for 15-14 after an eco and niko with three kills to 15-15
another mr5 of the day, Inferno OT #1
-quick three kills by NENO 0-1
-a split A 1-1, B split 2-1
-gp swept the floor with again, 2-2
-3-2 for again
-again opening up thanks to two nades, 5-2 after a sweep with byali and taz combining for 4 kills, but gamepub survives a scary two-versus-three, but again respond with quick early kills with awps to win the map 21-182-2-3-2 for again

Neo is IGL since a month or so. I guess they decided to give him IGL since snax almost always has better stats than neo so they let him focus on fragging.

Seems you have not watched the match.Neo won a very important 1v2 clutch on inferno and also made 1-2 open frags in the overtime. While on de_train Neo was the main frager and was the player with most frags ;)

You just didn't get what I was pointing out. In 1.6 he pretty much always was the topfragger of any matches. In CS:GO he's never really been a top fragger. It's quite obvious that people still can win important round.

He always seems to step up massively on lan, online he's mostly playing average for some reason. Obviously he has his games but the pressure on lan probably gives him that boost to be a frag machine.

Great play by iNation, great performances, great and very entertaining matches. Very deserved to be there at the event, really doubt k1ck would have been able to show such strong performances as well (but who knows), so, good that k1ck wasn't there, as a matter of fact if k1ck were at the event, the whole situation and history could have drastically been changed as AD could have (but not necessarily would have) won vs k1ck, and at the end k1ck would have possibly fall short placing 4th at the event, but it wasnt the case and by having GamePug instead of k1ck we had AD being shockingly knocked out dropping them to lower bracket where the situation repeated and ANGE1 couldn't find the key to knocking out NaVi from the tournament and that's what caused them to place 4th. I am really happy the way things turned out to be right now and am hoping for iNation to keep on performing so well and their sponsors to have the money to send them to big events! What we learned? 1st - AD will need to make sure they get their crap together and go over all previously lost matches (ANDE1's job) which resulted in really poor results basically dethroning AD from being TOP 3 to now being together with every other TOP team somewhere near TOP 5-8 I'd say who are capable of playing well at a certaind day/time once in a while, so the stability and something new is what ANGE1 needs to think of and fix inside the team! 2nd - GamePug showed incredibly good performances in all of their played matches and if other teams kind have underestimated them coming in to these finals (AD for instance) - well, it's that loser's team perfect time to learn from that mistake and make sure going forward every single match vs any team out there is very well thought of and taken into considaration because even now in CS:GO ANY TEAM OUT THERE can beat anyone on a certaind day/time, so yap! GL to iNation aka GamePug, congrats with bronze, really hoping to see more matches with them. Dont worry - be happy! 3rd - AGAiN - Not much to say, me is sure most people waited for a really long time since the beginning of CS:GO and a change in the line up to see GoldenFive boyz achieve at least placing TOP 3 on any LAN even for the members of the team themselves to get some kind of a moral boost and understanding that all that time they played CS:GO was not a waste of time and here we are they we already garanteed ourselves a silver medal aka TOP 2 finish at the event! GL vs GP or NAVI tomorrow! 4th - Na`Vi? Mmmmmmmmmmm! AM is sure that lots of people waited for this to happen as well as its not a secret that NaVi spent lots of time and went a reaaaaaaaalllly long way to finally come this far with all of their line up changes bla bla bla etc, but it actually happenned and they are already waiting for one or the other team to meet them in GrandFinal (obviously there is no NiP, VG or any other teams and if they would be here maybe NaVi wouldnt be battling for 1st place, but it doesnt matter). Still they were able to beat AD where both teams only had ONE CHANCE to use where is WIN = C00L whereas LOSE = GO HOME and they managed to survive, so nto much to add, NaVi DID make tons of mistakes , but those were acceptable taking into considaration 2 new mambers in the team where one of them does understand, but still has a little barrier in language, so its ok! GL! LOVE EVERYONE! CS:GO BECOMES MORE INTERESTING! life is good enjoy and dont get mad! :D peace

AD needs new igl because they strats looks so "normal" (nothing special) and almost every round they do the same/or simillar but GP played quite good anyway against AD, they showed some combination of tactics and different styles in game what can i say about the match between again and GP, again looked stronger on tt sides, they won CT sides because of individual performance of some players, byali played awesome match with pasha on inferno... also on train pasha done so many frags on ct side, gg both teams

I just think AD played bad once more, of course GP won fair and square, and of course this is good for the scene. But I doubt GP will do this again (at least against AD) No hard feelings :D

Never seen him being "a monster" in cs:go. 1 or 2 good performances isnt really being a beast is it? Thats not the neo we are used to.

neo again at the bottom of the scoreboard...doesn't work for me,even if he is the igl or not.But "AGAiN",at important lans, usually the other guys in the team overperformed(in 1.6 in was loord and kuba, now it seems like byali)!Anyway,i want neo-da-king back!

You peoples need to really learn how to understand this game and stop looking on frags score, its a team game, one fragger is not winning the game, he have just impact, every single player have impact on the game, this is reason why you play it 5v5 and not 1v1, youwork as a team, you can be 0/20 but you probably still doing, granades, covers, planting bombs, and many other stuff, Neo is a legend on counter strike scene, its an honour to watch such a nice guy and good that he doesnt gave up with all these haters, Neo is the man. Just understand the game please...

While everything you said is true, no team will ever win a game while having a player going 0-20, like you said. Its a team game, there are countess things that matter thats true, but you just cant put aside the fragging department. Its ALL needed.

So you're saying that NiP should get rid of Fifflaren?

If you check NiP last games, for a few months already fifflaren has really improving his game alot, so no, im not saying NiP should get rid of Fifflaren, im saying a team needs their players to be decent in every aspect of the game, including the fragging part.

" im saying a team needs their players to be decent in every aspect of the game, including the fragging part." yep, and Fifflaren isn't decent in that part. Don't even try to argue about that. In his case the stats say a lot and they are absolutely humiliating. He's the prime example of someone not being on the same level as his team-mates. In 12 years of CS I never ever saw someone paying so consistently under his mates level than Fifflaren did during 1.5 years. He had 2-3 good games during the past months? What about the other 300 games where he underperformed? Seriously, his case is so crystal clear...

Of course Fifflaren is below his teammates thats un-arguable. Still, hes a decent player and even tho you/me/the community may think he should be replaced, i would like to believe NiP players know better than us and if he is still there, hes there for a reason.
