CS:GO breaks 100k player mark

Valve is celebrating a major milestone as CS:GO reached 100 thousand concurrent players on Friday.

Over the last few months, we have witnessed a constant rise in the number of CS:GO players, much because of the updates that Valve has been releasing, which have been improving the game.

It was only a few days ago that a major update for VAC was released that detected the most recent cheating tools and third-party software designed to crash game servers.

After the first day of 2014 had witnessed an impressive number of 96,755 concurrent CS:GO players, on Friday the game broke a new record as 101,904 people were playing at the same time.

Yes I have played it, and after the VAC update, none of my games contained cheaters. It is going about 100.000 CONCURRENT users. So, if a player use multiple accounts, it still counts as one.

Dude, u can't turn on steam more then once, unless u have more then one computer. One computer = to one player. So no matter if there is a multiple accounts, u can't play with all your accounts at the same time if u have only 1 computer.

I have to agree with dv here, valve doesn't want to improve the movement drastically which they should. Because you can move and shoot at the same time, and this will never ever improve the skill-cap of this game. it's easy to recognize a cheater as you can see. wallbangs coming from nowhere, you not even show and start getting wallbanged, things like that. If in Portugal you guys doesn't have that problem, luck you, cuz here in Brazil unfortunately this happens all the time. Brazilians players sucks, most of them are 14 under age.

Here in Portugal, there are cheaters as well. But sometimes you find really good players. Imagine if a player like pasha plays with less skilled players. It's a huge difference. Granted, it's not everday that you find a player like this, but there are really good casual (not even pro) players. I imagine there quite a few of these in Brazil.

Yeah, i agree with you, i'm loving CS:GO, but the difference is that 1.6 got some Anti-Cheaters that work for a while. VAC it's trully a garbage. I am kind of glad that people still continue playing Counter-Strike 1.6 despite the fact that this game isn't supported for a year or even more. It really shows off that CS:GO isn't as good as it could be and if some people really wanted to change anything to better state than they should either massively upgrade CS:GO to a proper condition of competitive game or they could have brought cs1.6 to its roots, but of course, that is not an option, for this reason, it would be better to sponsor Promod or any kind of another version of CS, not only CS:GO.

When I was playing against cheaters, most of them were playing with cheats because they were sick of other players cheating :D. Then they get used to it and that's how this plague started. Maybe with this update at least few have quited dirty gaming :) Everybody was sick that with extreme master first class you are unable to stick to this rank. Of course there are couple of players/teams that went to Global Elite absoultly clean (without any cheater on their team). But still most of them started to play with cheater on a board in case of cheater in opposite team :)
