A new Swedish team called zX9 have been formed, featuring a number of experienced players from the Scandinavian scene.

zX9 made headlines on Friday when they defeated Morten "coloN" Johansen's Reason Gaming 16-11 in the first Nordic qualifier for EMS One Katowice.

The Swedish team are due to tackle mates and more!, a Danish mix with players from n!faculty, at 19:00 , but before that they decided to officially announce the project with hopes of finding an organisation.

At a first glance, zX9 look capable of causing some serious damage: in addition to Gustav "KAB0M" Runemalm (formerly of Epsilon) and Anton "waver" Wiberg (previously of Lemondogs), the team also boast Mathias "pauf" Köhler, who shone for TC during their victory over SK Gaming in fragbite Masters.


waver joins a new team

Completing the lineup are Christoffer "lunedi" Olsson, who was last seen in Begrip Gaming, and Norwegian player Morten "zEVES" Vollan, who played alongside the likes of Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad in the previous zX9 team.

"We have played together for a while now, and, to be honest, I have never felt this kind of team chemistry, motivation or potential before," Vollan told HLTV.org.

"I'm very happy to announce this team and i hope we can do really well and get some support. If there is an organization out there willing to take us in, you can contact us at [email protected]."

zX9's lineup is the following:

Didn't really think it would be a problem, and yet again there is not many people that know about that name and the former lineup. This is way back! However, if it is a problem, the people that got the "rights" of the tag zX9, can come and talk to me if they got a problem with it. The name is just temporary anyways :)

So in other words: you couldn't think of an own name so you used the name of a clan who used to exist? Pretty odd thing to do. In ten years I'll create a clan called VERYGAMES. The original verygames players can then talk to me if they don't want me to use their old organisations name.
