naSu leaves, aslak joins ENCE

Niko "naSu" Kovanen has decided to step aside from competitive Counter-Strike and will be replaced by Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä in ENCE eSports.

ENCE had a rough showing at Assembly Winter last weekend, falling short against H2k in the semi-finals and placing third overall, a finish that certainly fell below the team's expectations.

Meanwhile Verkkoperä's Minttu, fueled by an MVP-worthy performance by the former WinFakt AWPer, managed to clinch second place, though also falling short against H2k, in the grand final.

Now Kovanen, who came back from nearly a year of inactivity to join ENCE in October, has once again decided to leave Counter-Strike behind due to lack of time.

aslak rejoins allu in Finland's best team, now known as ENCE eSports 

Verkkoperä already replaced Kovanen in January of last year when he last went inactive, but his stint in the team known as Curse.EU at the time only lasted six or so weeks.

He then played for a number of mixteams, including Minttu now, while staying away from the spotlight as he only attended domestic events in Finland with varying degrees of success.

Now at Assembly Winter Verkkoperä had so far the tournament of his career in CS:GO, finishing with a 1.35 rating, a K-D difference of +53 and a 0.89 KPR, carrying his team to a second place finish.

Verkkoperä will have his debut with ENCE eSports already on the coming weekend, as the Finns participate in EMS One Katowice's Nordic regional finals, hoping to qualify for the $250,000 tournament.
