[POD]Cast #23 talks casting

The twenty-third episode of [POD]Cast featured two casters as guests and spent over ninety minutes discussing casting.

This episode saw Patrik "cArn" Sättermon and Duncan "Thorin" Shields be joined by Niels "rizc" Topp and NiP TV's Anders "Anders" Blume, while Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen was once again missing.

Rizc doesn't mind dropping F bombs when he feels like it, but he's not bad at controlling it during casts for the very least :)

Well in this case it was no about "dropping f-bombs". He used fuck or a diviation of fuck in every comment he made. It's a matter of having a smaller vocabulary and not being able to express himself as intended.

If everyone played mm then you could get all these amazing stats between players and teams, but unfortunately valve doesnt seem to push for it.

Agree with thorin in terms of x-ray; turning x-ray off situationally is great. sl4m casters do it and it works out really well for them, even if I can't understand what they're saying.

I think there is need to implement a good minimap for spectating tools to show where all players are at any moment in a map. If catching action is too hard without x-ray and autodirector then there is need for alternative tools to make it easier.

Valve should start supporting custom HUDs, GUIs etc again. And make them so that the modders could change the radar etc really easily. Also, IMHO the stock HUD is really ugly, not to mention the consolellel menu system which I wouldn't mind seeing an alternative for.
