NiP back on ESEA Invite list

ESEA has revealed the team list for the upcoming European Invite season, with Ninjas in Pyjamas amongst the participants.

The Swedish giants, who recently came in second place at DH Invitational Stockholm, decided against taking part in the previous season as the players wished to take a vacation in January, when the continental finals took place.

Replacing NiP, who already have two ESEA titles to their name, were LGB eSports, who finished fourth in the league - but then could not make it to the season finals.

The biggest surprise in this team list is that the former Astana Dragons side are nowhere to be seen, while Natus Vincere made the cut.

The following eight teams have secured places in the upcoming ESEA season:

dignitas	Virtus.pro
LGB eSports	Na´Vi
Wizards	fnatic

There is still one place up for grabs in the league, which will be handed to one of these three teams, based on community vote.

Murica pls! "Keep beating" means continuous action. iBP won VG once! If they are to win VG like 3-5 times in a row, you can state "we keep beating". iBP got owned in Winter Dreamhack, Col managed bit better. Nothing to brag thou! PS. I do hope however that US team can compete in top places.

By the way, Finland has had many good teams. During early 2000 I have never even heard a team from America that anyone took seriously. Evenmore, 300 million vs 5 million people, wuppadiiduu! Lets compare Europe and US... oh wait, its not even comparable. You guys have A single team that has proven themselves consistently, rest are c**p in top tournaments.

They should go back to their old VP roster, for some reason when they play with markeloff, he is normally the top fragger by far, but they always lose. Maybe he just doesn't fit into a role where other players can also play well. Bring back fox!

Hopefully the participating teams will be able to secure funds to attend the finals if they end up qualifying for them. Looking forward to the matches indeed. As for the poll, a tough thing as either of the teams not making it (especially Clan Mystik/3DMax, which I see a bit ahead of H2k) is quite a loss.

The reason teams drop out of the ESEA Finals is not because of lack of money but because it just isn't worth the trip. Only first place makes the trip worth spending the money to travel and stay at the event. And as we know, not every European team will place first at ESEA ;)

H2K deserves it but I dont think they would do all that good in invite. I think the only team from this list that might actually fair well against all the teams on a regular basis would be Clan Mystic. They have a solid line up and I think they will do well if they play invite. If not they will win Intermediate.
