Virtus.pro to EMS One final over LGB
Virtus.pro are through to the Grand Final at EMS One Katowice following a 2-1 victory over LGB eSports.
Virtus.pro, who had the support the of the crowd, started off on the CT side, and enjoyed a positive start to the game, having won the pistol round, in which LGB’s members were simply picked off one by one, all over the map, leaving the Swedish side with no choice but to make a weak B rush with just two maps, which obviously failed.
In the first gun round, LGB went for a straight A push that almost caught Virtus.pro off guard, but Paweł "byali" Bieliński’s double frag kept the Swedish side at bay before the remaining Polish players cleaned up the bombsite.
The next two rounds also went Virtus.pro’s way, but still LGB went for a partial buy, a strategy that brought them their first round of the game following a slow A push. In the following round, the same strategy was not nearly as successful, though, with Virtus.pro regaining control of the game and cruising to a 10-2 lead.
In the latter stages of the first half, the two teams shared rounds, and so the scoreboard showed Virtus.pro taking an impressive 11-4 lead to the second half.
LGB came out strongly from the break and stopped Virtus.pro’s A rush with ease, with Olof "olofm" Kajbjer getting three frags to his name. After planting the bomb twice in the previous two rounds, Virtus.pro went for a buy in the third round, which they eventually won thanks to a B push, with Janusz "snax" Pogorzelski gunning down Simon "twist" Eliasson in the decisive 1-on-1 battle.
Virtus.pro went on to make it 15-6, and even though LGB found a lifeline when they won two rounds in a row thanks to some impressive AWP work from Olof "olofm" Kajbjer, there was nothing the Swedes could do to stop the home side, who picked up a 16-8 victory.

On de_mirage, LGB started off the brighter, winning the pistol round, but then Virtus.pro levelled the score in an eco round, only to see the Swedes reclaiming the lead right after, with Freddy "KRiMZ" Johansson give his team the round by winning a 1-on-2 situation.
After two unsuccessful ecos, Virtus.pro were able to reduce the deficit following a lot of trade kills in the middle, but then the Poles fell once again victim to LGB’s eco strategy. Apart from two rounds which went to Virtus.pro thanks to great rounds from Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski, the rest of the first half was dominated by LGB, who took a convincing 11-4 lead at the break.
Things then went from bad to worse for Virtus.pro as they lost the pistol round, but yet another triple kill from Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski on eco put the Poles back in the game. Virtus.pro went on to reduce the deficit to 7-12, but then Olof "olofm" Kajbjer picked off Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas on B in the decisive gun battle to put LGB closer to the victory.
Virtus.pro then regained control of the game, but LGB kept their composure and eventually took the score to 15-13. However, the Swedes failed to build on that, allowing the home side to equalize the map on 15 rounds. In overtime, LGB gave a great account of themselves and picked up a 2-1 lead after playing as Terrorists, and in the highly-favoured CT side they were far too strong for the Poles, resulting in a 19-17 victory for them.

LGB equalise the game on maps
The final map was de_train, meaning that this was a rematch of the fragbite Masters contest between these two sides, which went to double overtime before LGB eventually ran out 22-20 winners.
Starting off on the CT side, LGB took the lead by stopping Virtus.pro’s rush onto the outer site with ease, but then the Poles responded in convincing fashion and stunned their opponents with a great inner rush, with Filip "neo" Kubski and Paweł "byali" Bieliński’ each picking up a double.
The two anti-eco rounds went to Virtus.pro, who were now leading the score 3-1, and in the first full gun battle, the Polish side also came out with a bang as they rushed the outer site. Dennis "dennis" Edman got himself four kills, but then Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas denied him the chance to get the ace.
After being down 1-5, LGB reduced the deficit to three rounds, but the Swedes were then surprised by a quick A rush from Virtus.pro, who were on eco, with Wiktor "TaZ” Wojtas leading the way with two frags.
For the rest of the first half, LGB were the stronger sides, as they closed the gap to their opponents inch by inch, but a stunning 1-on-3 situation from Filip "neo" Kubski gave the former ESC Gaming side a narrow 8-7 lead at interval.
In the second half, Virtus.pro enlarged their lead by winning the pistol round following an excellent retake after the bomb had been planted on the B site. In gun play, LGB tried everything to spot Virtus.pro’s hot streak, but to no avail, as they could never get past the good defensive set-up of the Poles, who emerged victorious 16-7 to progress to the final.
