Video: EMS One - through the lens

We present you a video featuring all of the footage our camera lens captured in Katowice, Poland at this year's first major. Take a look at the reactions, the emotions and the celebrations of the best players in the world when everything is at stake.

With $250,000 on the line, EMS One Katowice 2014 was the second event of its kind in CS:GO history and it gathered all of the best teams and players in the world.

Our moviemaker Radosław "MAKKU" Makuch was on-site in Poland capturing as much footage as possible with our camera, which he then compiled into this 19-minute movie. If you ever wondered what the atmosphere is like at an event this size, here is a great chance to find out.

We start with day one and the group stage, where most of the footage comes from due to the more accessible playing area, then we move onto the first stage on days two and three for the playoffs, and finally onto the biggest stage in front of the biggest crowd in CS:GO history for the grand final.

michael jordan was the biggest shit talker on the court and look at him. he is the greatest of all time. doesn't matter what sport we're talking about. right across the board, every sport has shit talking. it's part of the atmosphere. these are people who are mentally invested into a game. this is their life. if you can get into your opponents head any way possible then go for it if it gives you a winning edge.

I'll try once more.. (sigh....) So pointing out that it's commen makes it ok? You see where I'm going here? Why not relate to the actual topic (of whether it's OK - you obviously think so, and fair enough), instead of being "but all the other kids are doing it aswell! :-(" As in any other sports, I have more respect for the ones who doesn't use cheap tricks to get ahead (like trashtalking, faking injuries, diving to get a penalty etc.) than the ones who do.

No, it simply means that such behavior is generally accepted as part of the sport. Whether or not you agree with it is a matter of personal opinion. You don't, and I do. Sure, there are limits that are rightfully set (i.e. unsportsmanlike conduct in American football), but I don't think I've seen anything in CS that crosses the line, except ceh9 giving the middle finger to zonic/mtw (i.imgur.com/Gq23YTr.jpg). Things like faking an injury or flopping in basketball to draw a foul are not exactly comparable because they actually do give a clear, quantifiable advantage and should be penalized. On the other hand, if someone is trash talking you, don't let it bother you. It's that simple. If you get riled up and it causes a drop in your performance, sucks for you. And I do agree with your last statement. While I find the banter entertaining and don't at all hate the semphis's/taz's/GTR's of CS for it, I will always have more respect for the more quiet domination that f0rest so elegantly exhibits.

group stage was the best to caught close to players i think in playoff they didnt let u come to close to players right? only minus is that you didnt show to much final, only winning moment, and i think at the final the emotions and crowd was so sick and u could show more of that.
