LDLC.com send Titan packing
Titan have crashed out of Copenhagen Games 2014 in the quarter-finals following a 2-0 defeat against fellow countrymen LDLC.com (14-16 on de_train, 12-16 on de_mirage).
The former VeryGames side have once again been denied the chance to win Copenhagen Games, and just like at the ESWC finals they came in short against French opposition, meaning they will return home with a frustrating 5th-8th placing and a $500 cheque.
Titan got off to a great start on the Terrorist side on de_train and strolled to an early 3-0 lead after winning the pistol round, where they went straight for a mid push, with Richard "shox" Papillon picking up three kills to put his team in the lead.
The first gun round went to LDLC, who managed to get some early kills thanks to an aggressive strategy. Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans still planted the bomb, but he fell short in the decisive 1-on-2 situation.
LDLC were able to turn the score around 4-3 in their favour, but then Titan picked themselves up and regained control of the game, picking up three rounds in a row. However, LDLC were simply far too hot to handle in the latter stages of the first half, in no small part thanks to Vincent "Happy" Cervoni’s impressive AWP work.
In the final round, Titan looked really close to sealing the deal after Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux had picked up three AK47 frags, but then he lost the final 1-on-1 situation, allowing LDLC to take a 9-6 lead into the second half.
Now playing on the Terrorist side, LDLC surprised Titan by going for a straight ramp rush that caught their opponents off guard, with Hovik "KQLY" Tovmassian getting three kills to his name. After winning the following two anti-eco rounds, LDLC went for a straight inner push once again, but this time around they were completely slaughtered by Titan.
LDLC remained in the driving seat and went on to make it 13-8, at which point Titan finally woke up and started winning rounds, eventually equalising the game on 13 rounds. It did look like Titan had this one in the bag, but LDLC came out very strongly in the final three rounds to win the map 16-14.

KQLY inspired LDLC to a great win
Both teams then moved on to de_mirage, where Titan are known for producing some very good results. Unfortunately for them, though, they got off on the wrong foot here, with LDLC picking up a 5-0 lead, while playing on the Terrorist side.
Titan then managed to bounce back and took five rounds in a row, one of them thanks to Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, who got four M4A4 headshots in quick succession while defending the A bombsite. The two teams then exchanged a couple of rounds, but in the end LDLC were able to take a 9-6 lead into the second half.
The ex-VG side then ran riot in the pistol round, with Nathan "NBK" Schmitt getting three kills and Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux getting the other two as the team rushed the A site. In the first anti-eco round, though, Titan were simply outplayed by LDLC as Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez got three kills on A before Vincent "Happy" Cervoni sealed the deal after rotating to the site.
The following two anti-eco rounds also went to LDLC, who were now leading by 12-8, and even though Titan mounted a comeback, reducing the deficit, first to two rounds, then to just one, LDLC never really lost the momentum, going on to win the map 16-12.
