Virtus.pro through to final over LDLC

Virtus.pro have prevailed against LDLC 2-1 (de_inferno 16-11, de_dust2 12-16, de_mirage 16-5) in the second semi-final and are on their way to the grand final against NiP.

Starting off on Virtus.pro's choice de_inferno, LDLC got to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a clean delayed B push in the pistol round, but the Poles managed to win a third eco round, partly because Filip "Neo" Kubski saved an AK-47 from the previous one.

The two teams then exchanged two gunrounds for a 3-5 scoreline, but with a good opener on the A bombsite, LDLC lowered the deficit to a single round. Virtus.pro decided to push towards middle agressively afterwards, which paid off and got them two rounds in return.

That was only once though, in the following gunround LDLC used the fact VP weren't at any kind of offense, got into the B bombsite, where Dan "apEX" Madesclaire made wonders while defending the afterplant.

Not a single round was won by the Frenchmen then though, very much thanks to three flank kills by Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski on long, and the half ended up in a five-round lead for the Poles.

TaZ & co were too hot to handle on inferno

LDLC's Counter-Terrorist side was just as strong in the beginning, partly thanks to Hovik "KQLY" Tovmassian's two-headshot entry on banana in the pistol round. The score was soon tied at 10-10 after two successful retakes by the Frenchmen on B bombsite.

That was only exchanged for four on Virtus.pro's side though, LDLC couldn't get their defense on B correct and soon were facing being round away from a map point at 14-11.

Virtus.pro weren't afraid in the last two rounds and just went on to run two delayed pushes to both bombsites, which secured them a 1-0 lead.

Going over to de_dust2, it was Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas as Terrorists who helped his team take an early 1-0 lead after four kills and a one-versus-one, but LDLC quickly replied in the following round with a bunch of Five-sevens for an eventual 3-1 scoreline.

Virtus.pro got back on the front foot with two fast strategies, but four rounds were almost all the could get on the first half. LDLC kept shutting their attempts down with Tovmassian's AWP on the helm, only the last round of the half went the Poles' way.

In spite of Tovmassians double in the beginning, VP got back after a one-versus-two with three kills by Paweł "byali" Bieliński, which lowered their deficit to two rounds. Only a one-versus-two by Kubski stood in the way of a map point for LDLC, which was turned for a second map win, despite VP's agressive attempts, at 16-12.

KQLY had another great performance on dust2

LDLC started as the worse side yet again on de_mirage, and even though their double fake completely backfired, Vincent "Happy" Cervoni won a crazy one-versus-four only because of a smoke by Virtus.pro. They weren't able to find the last man standing, who disposed of two defusing Counter-Terrorists and the remaining two didn't have enough time.

Virtus.pro bought all they could anyway and it eventually paid off when LDLC decided to push for the B bombsite against Kubski's Famas. Afterwards it was Virtus.pro's game to lose, they kept on denying all of LDLC's attacks up until 6-1.

Then two quick entry kills by Tovmassian and Cervoni resulted in a four-versus-two, but it was Kubski yet again with four kills, which were exchanged for the following gunround and 7-2.

LDLC couldn't get into the sites consistently afterwards, only one attempt worked out for the A bombsite, every other one was defended successfully and LDLC were staring down a barrel at 12-3.

Their fate was sealed after they failed to win their Counter-Terrorist pistol round, which was won by Jarząbkowski and Bieliński. The Frenchmen managed to win only two rounds before it was over, yet again with two quick strategies in a row, at 16-5.

Jarosław Jarząbkowski

they will probably play mirage, imo vp is now the best team in the world on mirage, vp will take mirage, nip will take nuke, and last map will be inferno, which will be the key map for this match in case both teams will win their maps.

VP are probably still to strong on mirage, and NiP sucks on it. So VP will win it, no probs. But I still think, and hope, NiP 2:1 VP. edit: Oh, thought mirage was a gogo. sry.

Virtus.Pro, I betted on you as a Cph Games 2014 winner here, and I also betted on you 2.4$ worth skins (I'm not so rich as you all, so I can't bet AWP Asiimov right and left). Don't let me down please.

You can usually see a teams form from watching their online play but only up to the extent that they are within the top 10~ bracket or top 20~ bracket etc, as teams within these brackets can beat each other on any given day online as we've seen time and time again. People need to stop making assumptions based on online matches, i wouldn't even add them to players overall stats unless they have separate online/LAN stats. Edit: Well played VP!

Why do all these lurppis haters see this semifinal victory as some personal vendetta against lurppis? Seriously, do you guys go through every day life with this attitude: "You disagree with me? I hate you and everything about you."
