Rak steps down in ALTERNATE

Team ALTERNATE have announced that Christian "Rak" Hermenau-Puhlvers has stepped down from the active lineup.

The news comes in the aftermath of the team's 3rd-4th place finish at the EPS finals last weekend as they suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Wild Fire, who would go on to win the event, in the semi-final stage.

It was the latest of a series of disappointing results for ALTERNATE, who had been sent packing at Copenhagen Games in the Round of 16 courtesy of a 0-2 defeat against Titan.

Rak becomes inactive

ALTERNATE have now announced that Christian "Rak" Hermenau-Puhlvers has decided to become inactive to focus on his career outside the game, though he will remain in the team as a backup player.

"Today I regret to announce that I will no longer be part of the active lineup, though I will remain as a backup member," Hermenau-Puhlvers told ALTERNATE's website.

"This was already known before the EPS Finals, so the team had time to look for a suitable replacement. More about this will be known in a few days."

That's sad i really like him as player and co mod in german streams. One of the less teams in germany which arent change theire lineup every month. Like this team since my early source times and hope they get a good replacement.

Expected but not a bad choice, even if there csgo trophey cabinet is pretty much empty it's quite the achievment that the teams core has stuck around in the same org for such a long time :D hope they for a worthy successor for rak

Makes me kinda sad. He was imo one of the best german players. You can always make fun with him, so he's a really nice person, too! I wish him good luck at his further career.
