Na`Vi to DHS final over Epsilon

Natus Vincere are the first DreamHack Summer 2014 grand finalists after a 2-0 win (16-10 de_mirage, 16-8 de_inferno) against Epsilon.

Na`Vi started off de_mirage with a slower B attack as Terrorists and as they managed to get into the site and plant, they pulled through and went up 3-0.

The SLTV StarSeries champions have attempted to get into the A bombsite over and over in the following couple of rounds, tying the game, but another similar attempt ended up with Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev winning a two-vs-four once they fell back to the other bombsite.

Yet another A attack and an eco afterwards set the score to 5-4, for the first time in favour of Epsilon, but it was soon taken back to a 6-6 tie with a couple of rounds exchanged.

shox's LAN premiere with Epsilon ended with a top four

A split B and two more A bombsite attempts by Na`Vi in the end set Sukhariev's team one round behind as they switched to the Counter-Terrorists side.

Despite Espilon winning the pistol round due to a well-performed ramp and house push, Kovács was able to make wonders with a Desert Eagle, taking a triple while on a stack at the B bombsite.

Na`Vi went on to defend Epsilon's attacks again and again afterwards, until the score said 12-10, when Richard "shox" Papillon's team was able to take one round off of their opponents. That was when Na´Vi got back on track very quickly, making it a four-round streak to win the first map 16-10.

de_inferno was started by Na`Vi on the Terrorists side once again, and they won the first pistol to take the initial 3-0 lead as well. Epsilon quickly turned the situation around with two B defenses by Gordon "Sf" Giry, as well as a round, where one grenade put the entire Natus Vincere team on less than a hundred healthpoints in total.

Natus Vincere move on to the grand final

The French bandwagon was stopped when Kovács opened up the A bombsite with a kill on mid, followed up by another three while defending it for eventual 5-6. Ischuk piled on with four kills with a one-vs-two afterwards, which, alongside a B push in the last two rounds, got them a 9-6 lead.

Na`Vi were unable to get past the six-round streak due to Epsilon winning their Terrorists pistol round, but the Frenchmen met with a strong reply in the second round by four CZ-75s for 12-7.

Epsilon played the rotation game in the following round, and were able to win it despite being down two-vs-three on the A bombsite to make it 12-8. From there on though, the defense was too strong for Epsilon to handle, as all of the remaining rounds went into the hands of Natus Vincere, who moved on to the grand final after a 16-8 score.

If they couldn't then upsets would never happen. CS matches are mostly determined by the pistol rounds and 6-7 other crucial round out of 30 - now on a single round every competetive team can beat every other team, so why can't things go the underdogs way and they upset by winning 80% of the crucial rounds against a better team?

Stop the fucking bullshit, Navi could have beaten flipside fucking easy if they wanted, just like the second match 16-5 they did not even get more then 4 rounds per half and the other match they lose 16-14 are you really that dumb to think it isnt a throw? navi could have stepped it up when the score was 12/13 somewhat but they did not and everyone with a brain knows why.

Ah yes. Good old hltv.org, where one can make serious allegations of match fixing with no evidence and still get to call everyone else an idiot. Losing one close map against a weaker team obviously means it was a deliberate throw. Never in history has a team performed well above their usual play in one map against a team that clearly underestimated them. Brilliant.

I don't mind him but the problem is that kids follow people like him and actually slowly believe that every time titan lose to teambalkan and vp lose to wizards and all the other upsets that happen on a weekly basis due to the huge amount of matches played that obviously the top tier teams are throwing the match...

Well obviously they weren't giving their all and felt quite comfortable and tried to win just by being individually better without revealing any strats. Add to that that flipside probably did their homework and reviewed navi's demos prior to the event while navi most likely didn't do the same and simply learned from the first match...

I feel like HR will lose to NiP and Na`Vi will win Final cause NiP gameplay is pretty default, just good skill! But if HR will win NiP and will play final versus Na`Vi that's gonna be truly interesting, since they know each other good since cs 1.6 and both of them are ready to face each other!
