NiP edge HellRaisers; to DHS final
NiP edge HellRaisers out of the tournament 2-1 (16-9 de_nuke, 11-16 de_inferno, 16-13 de_dust2) to make it into the grand final of DreamHack Summer 2014.
NiP's de_nuke pick ended up with them starting as Counter-Terrorists. We saw HellRaisers pushing down to the lower bombsite, getting three kills on their way for only one in exchange, but Richard "Xizt" Landström and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund combined for a spread out two-vs-four.
After a quick couple of easy antieco rounds by the Swedes, HellRaisers tried to get picks on ramp and outside, but found themselves picked one by one for 5-0.
That time it was NiP who got picked off outside and then were too spread out to be able to reply, which was HR's first gunround into their pocket. They didn't wait for NiP to adjust and ran a quick upper strat, which caught the Counter-Terrorists off guard.
Yet another upper strat was defended that time around, but during the following two rounds, Alesund tried to take an AWP, but was unable to do anything with it against Emil "kucher" Akhundov.
Despite Alesund's first blood outside yet again, NiP was able to turn it around on upper mostly because of Adam "friberg" Friberg's lockdown, as we saw the Swedes in a 9-6 lead when they got picked off one by one twice in a row again.
Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson was the hero of the second pistol round, which was spread out from the beginning till the end, but he was able to win a one-vs-two while surprising two remaining players in vents.

NiP take the lead on de_nuke comfortably
No surprise could be seen in the antiecos, the first gunround was a different story though, as a three-vs-three situation couldn't be turned into the Swedes' favour, unlike the following round, getting NiP to 14-7.
Alesund couldn't turn a very close one-vs-four into his favour, as well as the following round, where his team was crushed on the upper bombsite, two last rounds were turned into a 16-9 win thanks to slow outside pushes.
Switching over to de_inferno, HellRaisers sent a strong message right from the start, getting the pistol round at the B bombsite. The CIS-based team was trying to get into the B bombsite over and over again, and only the first attempt was unsuccessful.
All of the other attempts ended up with a two-vs-two or three-vs-two situation, all of which HellRaisers were able to get on top, as they were soon up 8-1 because of a lack of defusers on NiP's part.
NiP kept taking duels, which they couldn't win, and coupled with an eco, they were down 10-1 before getting back on track with yet another two-vs-two retake on B. Friberg and Johansson then combined for five kills at both bombsites, and with yet another three-vs-three on the B bombsite saved by the latter, NiP had some room to breath at 4-11.

Kucher's heroics weren't enough to win the series
Thanks to winning a pistol round and the first gunround single-handedly taken care of by Friberg on banana, the Swedes seemed to have picked up the pace and took seven rounds in a row to tie the game at eleven each.
That is where HellRaisers stood up to the challenge with Akhundov on the helm, and took round by round off of favorable exchanges until they were at four match points. NiP tried to run a house-based strat, but they got stuck in the pit, locked up from all sides, at which point the map was over with a 16-11 scoreline.
de_dust2 seemed like a very similar story to de_inferno, only the other way around, as NiP rocketstarted their way into the grand final by winning the pistol and the first gunround thanks to Friberg's triple in tunnels.
Even though the following gunround on the B bombsite went into HR's hands, they weren't able to take more than two in a row, despite a two-vs-five mostly won by Akhundov's sniper rifle.
With Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg's triple, NiP were up 6-2 before Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow flanked three Swedes while walking up short for their third round. That was exchanged for two on NiP's side and one unsuccessful retake, which eventually put the score to 8-4.
All of the three remaining rounds went to DreamHack Summer defending champions, very much thanks to four kills including a one-vs-two by Alesund, to make the first half 11-4 despite being on the less favorable side.

friberg was on point throughout the whole game
After HellRaisers' agressive mid push in the second pistol backfired, it seemed like that was the whole story, but a forcebuy in the third round worked out despite Lindberg's promising attempt in a one-vs-three.
Trades in the middle of rounds went in favour of the CIS-based team, which put them to only a three-round deficit before NiP eventually got a reply on the B bombsite for 14-10.
Karasiow showed his first-fragging skills in tunnels, as his triple won his team an almost clean round, coupled with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov's triple with a sniper, the score was sitting at 14-13.
NiP decided to forcebuy in the twenty-eighth round, and got two quick entries on long, and even though Mihal "Dosia" Stolyarov got a triple for himself, his team wasn't able to win a two-vs-two, which was turned into two match points.
Then Friberg happened, as he single-handedly opened up short with two quick kills, followed up by one in the site and finished with a fourth headshot under the B bombsite as he jumped on CT spawn, which ended the match at 16-13.
