Inshock pull out of EPS Poland

Inshock have announced that they have withdrawn from EPS Poland due to DDoS attacks.

The Polish team recruited former MYM duo Bartosz "Hyper" Wolny and Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski in the build-up to the season and looked like serious candidates to reach one of the top places in the league.

However, Inshock, who came in third place at PCSG 2014, got off on the wrong foot in EPS and were thrashed 5-16 by noMERCY in their second match after beating WYBOROWA 16-12 in their league opener.

Loord & co leave EPS

It has now been revealed that Inshock have decided to quit EPS after they were unable to play their third match in the competition in proper conditions due to DDoS attacks.

"After our third game, in which we were bombarded by DDoS, we decided to leave EPS because our matches kept appearing on Csgolounge and we kept getting DDos'ed," a team statement read.

"In this case, the game loses sense to us. CS:GO is losing the competitive side of it, we and we lose so much fun because of that.Because of such attacks it becomes very difficult to win.

"Meanwhile, we are preparing for two tournaments, in England and in the Czech Republic."

Why is this still a problem, if they had such issues with DDoS they could have asked Cyborgmatt to help out with their issues, or even better, stop using skype :P

not just skype, you lack basic information which kind of saddens me. Everytime you connect peer to peer on any program your ip can be traced with certain addons. For example ill msg, invite to trade and try and call you on steam and voila your ip is in my hands

So they are backing out after 1 DDOS? Or even 3? Come on. Other PRO/SemiPRO teams suffered it too, but they didn't back out. Weird.

Pretty nonsensical. Anyone with a brain knows that CSGL is not the cause of DDOSing. Given the opportunity, people will be assholes.

Everybody says that there are ways to defend form being DDoSed, but can't really get the example of professional player who did it succesfully. So either these "metods" are not working, or no pro player really tries to do it. And for the iknoweverything guys here saying "there are ways to protect form ddos" and "get anti DDoS router", do you really know what you are talking about or you just repeat phrases you read somewhere on the internet without really knowing shit? I suppose 99,9% of you have never been DDoSed(because who would like to DDoS no names like you), therefore don't say anything if you have never really defended succesfully from DDoS. If there is somebody from that 0,1% who knows what he is talking about, then make some tutorial how to defend from being DDoSed in CSGO and if it really works we shouldn't be afraid of this attacks again.

If they share the solution public it would also be easy for people who's actually using a BOTnet DDoS to pass through it.

A dota player wrote a guide on how to avoid DDOS, they then offered to personally help any Counter-Strike players. I don't think anyone took him up. I remember reading this on Reddit but I can't remember the player who offered - I know it was on twitter.

Just remove the match(es) from csgolounge and don't provide an IP for godness sake! (I gotta admit, csgolounge did ruin the esport scene quite a bit, but it should stay up nevertheless)

Last thing for the ones who says about protecting from ddos. You guys forgot that im' not a pro player anymore. I don't even know why HLTV is still writing about me. Im not going to spend my own money to protect myself from retarded kids who likes to ruin the game to make some profit for themselves.
