kioShiMa's FB account hacked

Earlier today, we ran a story on Epsilon's Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey making defamatory comments towards Anil "cLy" Gülec. It turned out that the French player's Facebook account had been hacked.

Recently, several players in the top tier of the French CS:GO scene have had their accounts on several websites and on Steam hacked by an unknown person/group.

Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey was the latest victim of that ploy as someone logged in his Facebook page and accused Planetkey Dynamics veteran Anil "cLy" Gülec of cheating.

After confirming the story with French sources, we at HLTV.org of course decided to remove the news. We would like to apologise to Gülec and to his team for potential harm that has been caused to them.

even if he was not "hacked", why would they publish a news about a player talking shit on facebook about another one (without any proofs backing up the statement whatsoever). that's just bad journalism and hurts the player's reputation. if they start to post news about every childish comment on facebook or any other platform just to create drama they aren't far away from reaching bild.de niveau anymore.

How the hell would he fuck this up? Anyone using Facebook knows that when it's public it's public... It's always strange to have hateful accusations such as this one made public in closed circles like a pro scene, the chances that he made this comment himself are very low.

No, it doesn't make sense in this kind of pro community. Even less sense when you have fans who follow you and you know perfectly well that everything you say will be watched and repeated. If he had a problem with Cly, he wouldn't have made it public on his FB, he would have discussed about it with his friends in steam discussions or skype or whatever (or even with Cly himself). Even more when he's not even concerned by this cheating problem which happened between two completely different teams...

It's the same, as soon as something is public you'll have the same problems, whether a popular website relate the news or not. We're not in the 20th century anymore where people had to go through important platforms and services in order for an information to spread. Tons of things go viral far before any website decides to publish a news about it. If HLTV didn't make a news, several threads would still have popped-up and the community would still be mad (or not) about it. Kioshima is not even known at all for flaming issues or anything like that. Anyway, only some restricted persons will know the truth, but I'm pretty sure this guy had nothing to so with this stupid flaming.

if you checked his facebook page, you would saw he posting picture of another person w/ acnes,and He acted like another person too. Pretty sure he got hacked.

It doesn't make sense in this kind of community where most people know each other to go into hater mode. Especially when you have fans, which forces you to keep a good image. Sometimes two persons may have an argument or even avoid each other, but they never flame like these weird comments made from Kioshima's and Guardian's personal pages.

Well that's normal then. A few pros are doing stupid stuff in streams just in order to get attention, that's part of how streaming work. But personal attacks towards other pros are not common at all.

I know it was NBK, you said it earlier, he obviously knew NBK was streaming. When I said "normal" I didn't mean "acceptable" or "ethical" or anything like that. I meant "common". It's normal for some people who just want attention. They feel like they need to act like a dumbass to achieve that. From what I've seen from him on HLTV, Guardian is not really the kind of guy who's concerned about what people think about him. However I'm pretty sure he didn't flame NBK or any other pro right? That's my only point: people from a small community like the CS pro scene are not likely to flame each other publicly. First because they share the same goals and passions, second because they regularly face each other in a game they both spend a lot of time on, but most of all because they know (and are known by) almost everyone else in the community. For all these reasons, it's much harder for them to flame another pro than flaming some random guys they meet in MM or whatever. But that's my theory, you're free to think otherwise. The debate whether or not it's acceptable for a pro to flame random people or not is something else, which I won't go into since it's not what concerns us with this news.

New hack appeared which includes uploading one file from your steam directory. When u upload that file hacker get's access to your steam account and can trade/buy/sell stuff. I have felt that thing for my self. And most commont type of these hackers are on csgolounge as I have got cought by one, my one friend and my friends friend, so 3 times, and all came from csgolounge, easy prey for them to search and that new hack is very convincing if u don't know how Steam Guard works. An example how it works: U get a message to invite some guy to steam friends as he want to trade with u. And there is a steam community link to his steam profile via web browser. And u are acctually in his profile, the website is not hiden under some other name, SSL sertificate is positive to steampowered.com, theres no reason to believe u are not in his profile. Then thing is in order to invite him to friends, u need to login to steam community via browser, well u do that and instead of regular steam guard 5 simbols code sent at your email, it's familiar looking steam guard popup just telling u that they were unable to find your steam id and u should upload one file to confirm it. When u press proceed or continue(can't remember) u are still not loged in, but hacker has that file. As I understand, he replaces that file with his and he gains instant controll of your steam account. And when u try to relog u get an error as account is allready loged in. Passowrd changing dosint help to connect eather, u can connect to the account only when he disconnects. By that time he clears your inventory and steam wallet. So I just explained how did that happend to me, I lost then 50e worth of skins and 5e steam wallet funds. But good guys at steam support returned to me all items and steam wallet funds when I contacted them and explained to them how I got cought. And they told me thats 1st and only time thay are doing it for me and posted bunch of steam guard articles to read on how to protect yourself from these types of hacking. Took some time, but it was worth it to remember how to make sure u are not being hacked.

Actually it's really strange that a player with 120+(cause 120 is the ping you can see by tab but the effective ping from console is usually 10ms or more higer)is able to lands such shots think about not even HellRaisers Adren could do so much with the same ping...
