The Hype #11 with Lucky from NCG

Dustin "dust" Mouret has interviewed NetcodeGuides' Richard "Lucky" Vasconcelos on his CS:GO talkshow The Hype's eleventh episode.

Vasconcelos was interviewed on HLTV.org in text form yesterday as well, and you can find that interview here. His appearance on The Hype covers a wider range of subjects.

The VOD starts with Vasconcelos introducing himself as a player, and then covers the reasons why his team made changes after attending the season 15 global finals in January.

From there he talks about subjects similar to our interview, after touching on their player changes in more detail. Below is a list of all topics discussed with time stamps:

00:00 - 06:26 - Introduction and a brief history of Lucky as a player

06:26 - 12:43 - Why did the s15 ESEA LAN go so poorly for Netcodeguides (They were called Mousespaz at the time with slip and sobo instead of hazed and jdm64)? Was the criticism they received fair?

12:43 - 14:50 - Why did they make roster changes after the s15 ESEA LAN? Was this a tactical change or because player voluntarily left?

14:50 - 15:50 - Break in VOD due to power outage during original airing of live recording. I sum up part 1 of the interview a bit then jump into new questions.

15:51 - 20:17 - What has hazed added to the team? Was it a risk picking him up when he had no real CS:GO experience?

20:17 - 31:31 - What has jdm64 added to the team? Was it a risk to pick him up? We also discuss jdm64's strengths and weaknesses. Is his impact limited by only being an awper?

31:31 - 36:55 - How does Lucky feel about playing Virtus Pro first? Does NetcodeGuides stand a chance? What about other potential matches with the EU teams?

36:55 - 41:21 - How does Lucky feel about a potential match up with compLexity? What does he think about Semphis's criticism?

41:21 - 46:26 - How does Lucky feel about a potential match up with OEF (Manajumas aka Mediocre Gamers)?

46:26 - 48:48 - How does Lucky feel about a potential match up with iBUYPOWER? Will they fair better than last ESEA LAN?

48:48 - 51:15 - How has LAN preparations gone?

51:15 - 52:28 - LAN predictions?

52:28 - 56:08 - What is the future of the team? Are there any other events Netcode is looking to go to?

56:08 - 58:15 - How is Netcode's roster stability going forward?

58:15 - 59:51 - Closing remarks and shout outs!

We have again embedded the full VOD here on HLTV.org, so simply click play down below to watch The Hype's eleventh episode:

Vasconcelos' NetcodeGuides kick off their campaign in Dallas on Friday with a match-up against Virtus.pro in the opening round.

not really, even tho he is devout to the scene big time i do find him incredibly boring, be it interviews or casting. and hes been in the scene a long time. at least compared to thorinn and carns work. the na scene is pretty interesting(adding the fact that they do in fact speak english)

Even if you find him boring, others don't and like you said, he is very dedicated to the scene so he does really deserve the recognition.

Shame on you to even bother in saying something mean like that about someone who spent their time doing something like this for the community where many of the ppl will find out things they didnt know before and will know more about the NA players/scene and things that are going on across the ocean that most EUros dont know, so the interviews are great and the way he handles them is also great. The guy does look mature comparing to plenty of those "interviewers" who even with a peace of paper and with a preparation prior the interview still cannot handle it and fail big time whereas all of the once I saw went nice and smooth, so of course theres always going to be somoene whos not happy and not interested in this stuff, but the job done itself still deserves respect, and its not about comparing Thoorin's or carn's interviews here, its all not about comparing and finding whos the best at delievring info. Everyone has their own styles and all i can see and say that Dust's style works out pretty well and he doesnt need to try and look like anyone else and as a matter of fact when you try to act as someone else you have more chances of failing completely rather than be yourself... Keep doing watcha doing Dust... Get us more interviews! I'd even listen to Hiko's once again and/or n0thing maybe after ESEA, yet I do know you did do one with the recently, or maybe be even swag would be cool to listen to and see what's up hahaha... anyway gl
