Reason Gaming and their CS:GO division have parted ways, with Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen creating a new team under the name unu.AiN.

At the beginning of the month, Reason were left with a two-man roster as the team dismissed Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller, Nikolaj "⁠EXR⁠" Therkildsen and Mathias "⁠PnX⁠" Pedersen following a disappointing run at DreamHack Summer.

In the SLTV StarSeries league, the Danish team have been playing with Jesper "⁠TENZKI⁠" Plougmann, Nicolai "⁠HUNDEN⁠" Petersen, Kevin "⁠kevve⁠" Hansen (formerly known as "kev1n") and Pedersen himself, which raised serious questions about the future of Nichlas "⁠Nille⁠" Busk in the squad.

Nille steps down from the team

It has now been revealed that Busk has decided to step down from the team as he feels he will most likely be barred from taking part in future tournaments due to his VAC ban following the ESL's decision to exclude players who have been VAC-banned from its event in Cologne.

"Basically, the old Reason lineup fell apart because EXR took a break and we didn´t want to play with cadiaN, so Nille and I decided to make our own team," Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen told HLTV.org.

"We added kevve, tenzki and HUNDEN, since we get on well on a personal level and also ingame, so we really wanted to make this team.

"But ESL announced that players who have been VAC-banned cannot play the big tournaments, and therefore Nille knew that he could not play because of his VAC-ban and we agreed to find another player.

"We knew who we wanted and asked PnX to join us. He is a great person and a great aimer. So now here we are, with a team that gets on well both ingame and outside the game, which is the recipe for being together in the long run.

"I really hope we can stay together and keep building on our teamwork, so we can fight with the best teams in the world. We, as a team need more time, but we will keep fighting for it."

Meanwhile, the team have confirmed that they have parted company with Reason Gaming as the organisation no longer has the financial means to support a CS:GO division.

Until a new home is found, the team will be playing under the temporary name unu.AiN. All organisations interested in contacting the team can do so via e-mail ([email protected]) or Skype (Mattizt4r).

i dont think its the dk scene, its the scene in every country.. anyone remember those backstabbings with LDLC / CM??? its always like this, i guess people say its in dk because they have more teams and more news appear in hltv.org..

In general the entire CS Scene is quite unstable, except for some teams. - Still, the danish scene is constantly proving that stability is not the most common of things. I hope that the danish scene may one day change into being stable and respected as (I believe) it were during the 1,6 days.

MSL is a butthurt piece of shit, had the misfortune of playing with him on a smurf account (he went out of his way to prove it) with his brother on our team as well. The whole game he was hurling insults at us other 3 on the team and even though we ended up stomping the other team (he went like 45-10), it was a totally miserable MM experience. Huge cunt, not going to lie.

First time i dont stay loyal to a team, i almost get my head cutted off.. In the beginning of go i Got alot of offers i denied, i even Said no to salaries because i denied some offer.. And After that offers i went inactive, when glaive and nico left for anexis :-) You should relax :-)

I think people are mentioning you the most in this discussion is because of the post you made regarding the collaps of Tricked (where you where, understandably, very frustrated with peoples behavior). And then you do the exact same thing yourself. Just to be clear, I´m not hating or trying to make you look bad or anything. This just shows, together with all the other teamchanges and shutdowns,that the DK scene is immensely screwed up at the moment:-) Anyways, a big GL to you guys! +1 It's a shame that the danish scene is a bit like the semi-pro scene was in Denmark @ 1.6. All the best players divided between teams. But this time there's no big organizations/teams to handpick the best of the bunch. (Even though I felt dignitas did that with aizy)

oh really? you cant compare coloN to manne since manne was shit on lan, maybe had 1-2 good games, nor can you compare him to a guy that cares more about his stats than the game he is actually playing - colon is for me, one of the best i have worked with ingame, we know each other in and out - hence why we play together because we feel we are good, together. coloN is a carry, he works well with me & in my teams, when i call the strats, do you think he would play 2 years with me if he didnt want to? He had pleeeeeenty of offers he declined, for one reason, to keep on playing with me. he never achieved anything big, in any game - he has always been just under - we tried to get a really good team in ESC, though one player bailed out on us, it did look really well at one point though. And as i stated before, its not every player who works well with everyone - simple as it is :) Hence also why we moved to germany, to seek some stability and not changing lineups every 2nd week - if we can manage to come top3 EPS this season, or even win it - and do even better next season, then thats pretty successfull for us.
