London Conspiracy and dAT Team are the first two teams to have qualified for ESL One Cologne.

The first day of the ESL One Cologne European Finals has come to an end, with two teams having already secured qualification for the event in Germany, which will take place on August 14-17 under the wings of GamesCom.

Fresh off adding veteran Preben "⁠prb⁠" Gammelsæter to their ranks, London Conspiracy turned up the heat and gave a great account of themselves as they moved past k1ck and Natus Vincere to book a place at ESL One Cologne.

But the biggest surprise of the day came in the form of dAT Team, who were playing with Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev as a stand-in. The CIS-based side first moved past mousesports 2-0 then edged ESG! out with a 2-1 scoreline to reach the Upper semi-finals.

The qualifier will resume on Sunday at 13:00 with the other two quarter-final contests, which will pit Epsilon against Copenhagen Wolves and Titan against ENCORE, and with the first two matches of the second round of the Lower Bracket.

flamie and co were owning ESG, ESG couldnt hold it anymore so they started flaming flamie that he is hacker and that he has a VAC ban. ESG was really rude during the 3rd map. What is more, Delpan didnt play with anticheat until 3rd map.

Plane tickets from Kiev to Cologne will be atleast 1200 euro, then all players need to get to the airport and the russians will probably not travel from Kiev. Then there is hotel in minimum 4 days for 5 persons, that will be expensive too and then they need to est at restaurants for all the days. But they should pay some by themselves because this is a huge chance and a great experience for them all.

1200 euro. Are you fucking kidding? It's more like 250€ with KLM and then in talking about the summer season being expensive as fuck. You can easily get a decent hotel for like 100 euros per person. So why the hell wouldn't they go..

I wasn't totally clear, i meant 1200 euro for 5 players. Of course they should go but some young people don't have like 400 euro when there is such a short time till the event. Maybe they'll get a sponsor but they'll probably need to for themselves first.

Yep, and they won the Voronezh Cup earlier this year (LAN). I hope they can go through groups, but in any case they should be considered and treated as a new top team. Go dAT!

Gz to LC and dAT. But I don't understand that well what has been going on. As far as I know flamie is still part of USSR (I may be wrong) and USSR haven't played the qualifier with him, surely because they were aware of his VAC ban. And dAT picked him as a stand-in for the qualifier while they could have chosen anyone else who hasn't been VAC banned. imo that's a sad decision because they will lose their slot and it would probably has been the best opportunity of their CS career. And in the case they don't get disqualified from the tournament that's kind of a shame as some players haven't take part in the qualifier because of the VAC ban rule. Sad decision from dAT even though I don't think flamie is cheating, but well rules are rules and gotta be the same for everyone.

He left USSR several days ago. He's now playing as a stand-in for dAT, but will however keep playing for them on EMS if they get there. He is not cheating and has never been accused of cheating even in CS:S. He was a dick when he was younger, but that's the whole another story.

Compared to what we saw at Dreamhack(i think it was DH?) they actually played amazingly. Even the map where they lost 16-3 or what it was, they were close to getting rounds all the time, gettin 3-4 frags on eco's and so on. They're a whole new team compared to what they showed at dreamhack.

well I didnt bet at this game but if he rly has a vac ban on his other account he will not be able to play in the ESL just like cly and regarding to the rules the game must be counted as a 2:0 for ESG because he wasnt allowed to play. What's up with people raging at LC? Everyone who has knowledge of the scene knows that a team like LC could beat anyone on a good day, so what's up? LC are a good team. They are good at LAN even though they have been unlucky with the matchups like in DH for example. They won at last year's Assembly on LAN. Flamie has no cheats, just Blad3 made huge work to create some tactics and there was their maximum, nobody expects that dAT will qualify so now most of teams like NiP, VP, Fanatic, dignitas will just replay their demos vs mouz and vs ESG and they will know their sec. et Their tactics too easy, just nobody expects that team like dAT will show good rounds when even famous Na'Vi has shown nothing. Gl to dAT and nvm because ESG > ex-Reason so ESG to Cologne :)
