fnatic 2008 vs. mTw 2008 showmatch

Azubu has announced Counter-Strike forever, a 1.6 showmatch between fnatic's and mTw's 2008 teams.

Back in 2008, mTw and fnatic were the strongest teams in world, with the duo locking horns with each other countless times as they vied for a place at the top of the Counter-Strike ladder.

On Saturday, August 2nd, you will be able to have a trip down memory lane as mTw and fnatic will face off with their original lineups in a showmatch organised by Azubu.

mTw's 2008 team

To make things more interesting, there will also be $1,500 up for grabs in this match, with the winner taking it all. In case fnatic win the contest, the prize money will be donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature; if mTw come out on top, the money will go to the Danish Red Cross.

The showmatch, which will use a best-of-three format, is scheduled to start at 20:30 , but this time is subject to change as Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg will be at G3 with Ninjas in Pyjamas. Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and Jonatan "Devilwalk" Lundberg will be casting all the action.

"I am really excited to once again team up with my ex-teammates dsn, ins, f0resta and Archi and play such a legendary team like mTw," said fnatic's Chief Gaming Officer Patrik "cArn" Sättermon.

"We were really pleased to see the community's response at previous Counter-Strike Forever, and we thought our celebrations of fnatic's 10-year anniversary would not be complete with some good old Counter-Strike."

I understand why but it's hard to explain. I think he did it just because f0rest got the last decisive kill or something, throwing that bottle was his way of saying "great work, you did it man" kinda.. unluckily it hit him in the eye etc but that's the best I can explain it, I'm sure it didn't make sense to anyone lol

Yeah, just think how outdated the Source engine is now as well. Other games already look so more advanced graphically. I don't think it will be long until GO players have to defend the game by saying look at the gameplay, not the graphics! Though I don't think GO will stand the test of time CS has without serious gameplay updates.

My favorite lineup ever fnatic 2008. Maybe not the team with the most firepower in the history of CS but the perfect team personality/chemistry-wise and just very likeable. I'm pretty sure if the players in this team would rate the lineup they had the most fun with(which they won't), this would be it. Have fun guys, will be exciting to see you giants on the "field" again. Show them some good 'ol cs from the glory days.
