This week, zonic takes a look at B2 fake in a buyround, as terrorist on de_inferno.

SPAWN DOESN’T MATTER IN THIS TACTIC

The setup

Player1 runs into the house and goes to the laundry and covers the house.

Player2 runs into the house as well but runs over the bridge and down the halls and cover the stairs in the halls.

Player3 (or the best spawner, just to be safe) runs straight ahead and goes up the ladder to cover CT middle.

Player4 runs straight ahead as well and he just wait in the small pit across of the ladder.

Player5 just wait on the slope, but stay defensive so he won’t get picked by an AWP from CT middle.

Getting ready

Player 1 & 2 prepares to take over the halls; it’s important one of them smokes the hallways, so the CT’s cannot peek later on, because of the smoke.

After having made some noise there, they fall back and hide under the house, getting ready to backstab the middle.

Player 3, 4 & 5 takes over the banana after the first two guys have made some noise in the hallways.

Player 4 flashes over the roof and they runs inside the banana hallway.

After that they just walk up to the b2 and gets ready to smoke b2.

The attack

Player 1 & 2 just wait under the house while the rest are faking b2.

Player 3, 4 & 5 smokes the left side of b2 (not towards CT spawn) and throws all their flashes over the roof.

3 & 4 tries to shoot some bullets off, to make the fake seem more real.

The fifth guy just runs towards CT spawn just to sacrifice himself.

The fake

After having faked b2, Player 1 & 2 walks up the middle and goes left towards CT spawn; they wait for the b1 backup who is rushing towards b2 to help them.

If they cannot hear anything both of them walks towards B1 so they can backstab the B1 CT’s from behind.

Player 3 & 4 runs back to the middle and up to B1 for the plant.

Hopefully by that time they should only be like 1 or 2 CT’s in B1, so it should be possible to take over the bombsite.

THE POINT

The point of the tactic is to make it look like a B1 standard (by smoking the hallways etc) – After that they stay quiet, so it starts looking like a B2 attack, and they probably force another CT’s over to b2 so they are 3 stacked there, when Player 3, 4 & 5 then smokes the left side of b2 the CT’s will call for backup immediately.

It’s really important that one of the 3,4 or 5 guys throws a long smoke so that the guy on the spot (who you can see on the picture) cannot pick the 5th guy who is running towards CT spawn.

Anyways when the CT’s calls for backup, the 1st and 2nd guy are supposed to be waiting on them when they are rushing towards library, and that’s where the tactic works.

WHY IT WORKS

It works because it looks like a b2, and the fake is awesome, we used it back in 2007, so that’s why I can publish the tactic. Another thing is that some CT’s got an aggressive playing style, so when they are faking and Player 1 & 2 are hiding under the house; they meet one hell of a surprise.

But when you guys are making the fake, and if 5th guys just demolish the two guys in B2, and they call it off and go b2, however Player 1 & 2 can still do the same, because:

If they go for the round, they have them from behind (CT Spawn)
If they feel, “okay we can’t win this round, let’s eco” they meet two T’s inside B1 who is waiting for them.

WHAT CAN GO WRONG?

Many things can go wrong in this tactic:

They can go offensive in the halls and kill Player 1 & 2 instantly, so it’s important that you start out with a standard tactic and then call it in the middle of the round.
Another thing is that they are offensive in banana, however if you kill one of the banana guys, you can just call it B2 fake, and then people know how to do.
The CT’s don’t believe its b2 and they keep 3 guys in B1, however it’s really rare that happens.

CONCLUSION

The tactic might seem difficult but just read the text more than once, and again, feel free to ask me questions, if you feel I haven’t explained it well enough.

they only losse the round because the enemy killed them. -.- they planted the bomb, it's the objective of this round, like all rounds.

cool and hard to do but if it work they will get lost ;D

complicated enough to fool an average enemy (hence diff. rating is 3/5) but pro's will catch on to this easily =(

so you actualy fake B1 then go back to 2ndmiddle then 3others fake B2, they stay at B2? and the 2others go B1 (w/ the bomb and plant it on B1), silent or just run? the 3guys from B2 return to B1 via middle or they go trough ct spawn?

No it's like 2 guys are going hallways just to scare them away. Then they idle for quite some time and go back to under the house to wait for the fake in b2. 3 Guys fakes b2, with one of them rushing towards CT spawn and the other 2 just spraying and making the fake look more real. After that the 2 guys who was spraying and making the noise falls back into the middle and meanwhile the 2 guys who was waiting under the house has gone up middle and trying to kill the backup who was going to b2.

i think its too slow in time "After that the 2 guys who was spraying and making the noise falls back into the middle" CT dont stupid, time fo back to big, so ct understand this simple... when same (close) tactic make on me (B CT stand) i seconds 7 (1 opponent flash in eye;) to understand that it fake have sufficed me, and i give info about that to A-standings... and 1 little more: then i keep b i give info about number of T who given bangs, i see etc so my teammates use it and dont fall back from A...

normaly, no one would rush middle at the need backup of ct`s in B2;only if ct`s in B2 would have killed 4 t`s ; instead they would go trough base of ct. There is a simple reason for that ... it`s safer! Plus if the guys in B2 don`t hear many footsteps, they wont ask for backup. Like the #4 said ... for a mix team the tactic is ok .

Then you don't understand the tactic. The two first guys are supposed to walk up and watch them when they rush 1 or 2 guys to library or connection

Try reading the tactic again, there is even a picture showing what the 2 CT's waiting under the house must do when the B2 fake starts.. And as zonic writes, this is a tactic NoA used in 2007.. :)

i really like your specials focussing on former tactics by your team would love to see more articles like these :) PS could you send us this cfg you made the screenshots with? (im just interested in the graphics, because my hud is very unsharp and the environment too) and could you even explain why you're using 640x480? thank you in advance :> PPS and the trackerscheme.res :p so to have it comfortable like you with playing at 640x480 ;)
