Virtus.pro over dignitas to G3 final

Virtus.pro come back from a map deficit to proceed in the grand final of Gfinity 3 after defeating dignitas 2-1 (7-16 de_dust2, 16-2 de_cache, 16-12 de_inferno).

Virtus.pro entered the first map, de_dust2, with a short rush, where they met with a defence, although Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski showed a smart play thanks to a smoke while on a one-vs-two.

Dignitas didn't take any chances and evened it up right in the following round with a couple of CZ-75s and started capitalizing on that. First gunround win in a two-vs-two and a couple of long pushes resulted in 8-1 in the Danes' favor before VP took a stand.

Two short pushes in a row were intervened by Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen's one-vs-two, where he played for time as the Terrorists only had ten seconds left on the timer, and dignitas were back on track at 9-3. All of the remaining rounds went their way as well, despite Pogorzelski's double entry, when dignitas defused in a smoke in a one-vs-two, and Nicolai "device" Reedtz finished the half with two rounds, where he got seven kills combined.

Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen's triple in the second pistol almost secured the win for the Danish powerhouse. It only took three more rounds for them to take the remaining two rounds at 16-7 not long after Reedtz ended up in a funny situation while having no bullets left in his CZ-75.

FeTiSh & co take a 1-0 lead after a convincing de_dust2

Switching over to de_cache, dignitas' B play wasn't nearly as successful as planned due to VP's retake and a defuse, from where on it was the Poles' game. Filip "NEO" Kubski's four kills on B and Paweł "byali" Bieliński's retake on a two-vs-three rocketed Virtus.pro to a 7-0 lead.

Philip "aizy" Aistrup and Reedtz then combined for five while attacking the A bombsite, but VP didn't leave any more room to breathe for five more rounds as they continued to dominate dignitas over and over. Only an A split worked out for dignitas before halftime, but the last round was taken by Kubski and company yet again, resulting in a 13-2 halftime score.

The second map was over almost sooner than it started, as the second pistol of map two went the Poles' way on the B bombsite, and the first and only gunround was dealt with in less than ten seconds after it was executed, as VP tied the scores at 16-2, 1-1.

The series was decided on de_inferno, where Virtus.pro started off strongly as Terrorists, wining both the first pistol and first gunround to take a 4-0 lead. Their opponents took two rounds in a row while defending each bombsite in a close manner, although the following three gunrounds were almost a complete mop up by the Danes for 4-7.

byali's Virtus.pro were even more dominant on de_cache

FeTiSh then managed to pile onto the Danish bandwagon, who seemed to have the bombsite locked up, when he won a one-vs-one for 4-8. Despite VP getting one round, dignitas took it right back for 5-9 and finished the last round with another win, as they switched over to Terrorists with a five-round lead.

Their A attack was met with almost no defence at all, as they planted in a five-vs-five, which they were able to turn into their favor only to allow Pogorzelski to give them a big surprise on the B bombsite with four quick P250 headshots for 11-6.

A double eco by dignitas was followed up by two gunrounds where they got mowed down mostly thanks to the Bieliński-Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski duo on the A bombsite. Kubski's double entry on banana allowed them to take a lead again for the first time after eighteen rounds, but dignitas tied it at 12-12 in the following round.

From there on nothing was working for them despite Reedtz's entries, as the same man failed to win a one-vs-two, which forced them on eco which was soon turned into three match points and a match win for Virtus.pro at 16-12.

I'd say he's a top 3 player currently with both f0rest and GTR slumping, especially GTR. I honestly can't think of anyone who is as dominant, consistent and versatile as Snax. Guy even throws in knife kills and plays smoked areas better than any single player in the game. He's just scary.

I'd put pasha over him, statwise he's always on top, so we can't get him out. But yeah this guy has the best moves on the scene, so versatile as you said, not affraid of anything.

Yeah, Snax's in-game smarts are incredible. I have never seen a player so quick with his decision making and so confident with the execution of those decisions at the same time. He just seems so spot-on. Glad that the old boys decided to pick him up, man would the scene have missed out on a talent.
