mTw victorious in new XpN feature
XplayN.com has awakened their old concept King of The Hill, and opened the tournament with a clash between Danish top teams mTw and Gravitas Gaming.
The opening clash wasn't at all a close affair. mTw was totally dominating at inferno, having whimp back on top. He won some important rounds for mTw, nicely assisted by Sunde who proved that it was not only hpx that could do some magic with AWP. mTw finished inferno with the score 16:4.
At nuke, the match was quite the same. Even though Gravitas put up a bigger pressure at mTw, they just couldn't control the Danish number one. The flow in mTw's play was way better than we saw it at CeBIT, and it seems like whimp has quickly found his role on the team. nuke was won with 16:8, and, therefore, mTw is the first champions of King of The Hill since the concept closed back in 2005.
King of The Hill will be played every 14th on a Thursday, offering 1.850DKK to the winner. The contestants will be chosen by the users of XplayN.com. There are 10 teams to vote for in the week before the match - the two teams with less votes, drops out of the voting list. The team with most votes will meet the defending champions which is, in this case, mTw. The two teams with less votes and the losing team will drop down at the bottom of the waiting list, while two new teams will be upgraded from the waiting list to fill out the two missing spots.
This means that next week will be the voting week of King of the Hill. In fourteen days, a new team will be elected by the users which will attempt to take down mTw off the throne.
The tournament is sponsored by SteelSeries who is providing the prize money. If you're capable of understanding Danish, you can visit the tournament website by clicking here.
HLTV.org will, of course, offer HLTV to the match.
