Epsilon dominate HR, NiP win

First two matches are over at ESL One Cologne with Epsilon destroying HellRaisers 16-1 on de_inferno and NiP beating Wolf 16-7 on de_dust2.

Starting the game Richard "shox" Papillon won a crucial one-on-three situation with a sneaky play in bombsite A, and then followed it up with two more triple kills in the next two rounds.

A triple by Gordon "Sf" Giry then shut down HellRaisers in the B bombsite of de_inferno, and Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasiow's team couldn't win a round until round six, already down 1-5.

It didn't get any easier for HR, who were mowed down by Epsilon for the next three rounds, and doubles by Sf and Robin "GMX" Stahmer secured a 9-1 lead right after.

shox was in A-form against HR

A quad kill by Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey shut down HR's weak buy in the B site, and a double by shox gave the Frenchmen a more than comfortable ten round lead.

Yegor "markeloff" Markelov's team lost the next round as well, and their A-fake was demolished by Sf spraying down all three attacking terrorists with his AK at 13-1.

At 13-1 an Epsilon win was a foregone conclusion, with HellRaisers attacking A once more before switching over to start 0-2 as counter-terrorists to lose 1-16.

In the other opening round match NiP started by losing the pistol round and a force buy to Wolf on terrorist side of de_dust2, but then bounced back with three round wins.

Tied at 3-3, NiP won three in a row before losing their next, and then went on a five round winning streak, closing the opening half 11-4 with Richard "Xizt" Landström leading the way.

The Swedes lost their defensive pistol round as well, but came close to winning round two, and Adam "friberg" Friberg's triple finally got them on the board in the third round.

Wolf won a force buy to get to seven total, but from there it was all NiP, with friberg getting a triple on the final round to secure a 16-7 win for his team.

Aye but it was the first game, think HR are gonna suck as much as they did as well? plus Epsilon can be amazing one match and shit the next because shox can get 30 frags one game then be bottom with 5 the next so you never know.

Either way these teams want to win everything and Epsilon can't be trusted plus the match is tomorrow so all the good form Epsilon had today counts for nothing, had the match been today I'd say Epsilon would win but new day and all that, time will tell.

Pretty retarded to schedule that match tomorrow when I thought we would have two groups played out today yet one match into it they change it about? now there's going to be 3 matches played out in group a tomorrow and probably the same for b? Shit makes zero sense to me.

all the groups will play today without the winner vs winner matches , tomorrow the winner vs winner matches will be played for each group and then the winner vs loser matches (for second place qualification)

My bad then but then each group has to have 3 matches tommorow if it's DE because the winner vs winner loser has to play the team that lost the first match? It still makes no sense to me to be playing 3 games of a group 1 day and 3 the next but I'm used to the simple things plus the teams that win the first match only play 1 game in an entire day? nah it's a shit system.

The winner of the loser match today will play the loser of the winner match tomorrow - Epsilon/NiP. The winner of Epsilon/NiP is through to playoffs. So it will be three games today and two tomorrow. So yes, winners will only play one match today.

That's pretty much HR though, they either turn up and be solid or turn up and do nothing, not sure what's going on inside HR internally but I think something has to change as they never seem to perform when they need to.

Im not sure what's wrong, I did really believe in them in this event but obviously they lack in something. I think their playstyle seems really uninspired - they try to peak, when this doesn't work, they just rush brainless with 20 sec left.
