Robin "flusha" Rönnquist sat down with us to talk about de_cobblestone and fnatic's match with iBUYPOWER.

iBUYPOWER and fnatic were the first ones to play de_cobblestone in an official match, and it was fnatic who seemed to have prepared better than the opposition. Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist shared his thoughts on the match and the map itself.

You've just beaten iBUYPOWER on the first de_cobblestone match, what can you tell us about the game?

Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist: "It was cobblestone first time played officialy, it was hard, we didn't know what to expect, but they started off good, we just had a better T side."

Is it CT-sided as it was in 1.6?

Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist: "No, I think it's even, pretty even. It can be T-sided if it's played on individual skill."

Do you think there should be some tweaks to the map after playing it for a few weeks now? Did you notice any bugs or anything?

Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist: "I don't really care about tweaks and stuff, I just play however the map is and whatever it is. And no, not that I know of."

Next you're going to face Virtus.pro in the upper bracket final, what do you expect from that?

Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist: "It will be a tough match, but we'll see what map it will be after the random draw. It can be either a random map and we don't know what will happen or a map we want to play. It will be a tough fight, that's all I know."

The last group is now almost ready to begin with Titan taking on Cloud9, while dignitas will fight against Vox Eminor.

Finally a pro who plays the fucking game and the fucking map and doesnt bitch about it. The map is what it is, the map is the same for all 10 players, PLAY IT!

I love cbble, reminds me of old school cs.. and the map looks so much nicer, also real fun to watch. Flusha #1 player in the world at the moment. olof finally showing everyone that he is made for fnatic :)

Not a bad approach to have towards new stuff but I would actually like him to care more as a professional player. The maps are new and giving Valve feedback for me is a necessity, not because the maps are bad but because it's always sound with some constructive criticism to tweak maps for the better good in one way or the other.

Yes the feedback is important, but in my opinion it is unreasonable to expect every professional player to care about the game in that way. In the end everybody plays this game for fun, if some imperfections don't bother him, great. My guess is that if there are bugs with a map that could be used to get an unfair advantage he would have mentioned it. I assume he rather focusses on improving himself than improving the game.
