This week, zonic takes a look at B1 rush split in a buyround, as terrorist on de_nuke.
SPAWN MATTERS IN THIS TACTIC
1st Spawner rushes towards the metal door inside lobby and opens the door with a HE, after that he throws one flash towards bombspot A from yellow-hut and another one onto catwalk. After that he just covers radio-room.
2nd spawner rushes yard and throws this flash which bounces against the red container so a possible enemy with awp would get flashed. After that he smokes the CT sided container as you can see on the picture, a flash behind their red container could be thrown as well.
3rd goes into lobby just like the 1st spawner does, but when the 1st guy opens the door with his nade he waits for the CT’s to come from main/gate, if no enemies show up he flashes main, and behind vent so it’s timed with the 2nd 4th and 5th guy who are rushing yard.
4th rushes outside as well, and smokes the right side of their container, as you can see on the picture.
5th guy rushes yard and smokes the right side of warehouse so an eventually colt/awp who is hiding there can’t see anything.
ROUNDUP
1st and 3rd guy inside and 2nd 4th and 5th rushing outside and throw their nades while they rush towards main/gate. 1st and 3rd guy open the door so the CT’s are mainly focused on a b1 rush from the inside, but they simply wait for the 3 other guys in yard, before they go into b1. The 1st spawner however needs to cover radio room for when a possible CT offensive from ramp should appear.
IF THEY ARE STACKED IN YARD?
If they are stacked in yard it’s very important that 2nd 4th and 5th guy throw their nades correctly, otherwise they would get picked off before entering the main/gate. If you know your opponents are in yard I wouldn’t suggest this tactic because a lot of things can go wrong.
WHAT CAN GO WRONG?
It’s a very simple tactic and if people throw their nade the way I told you it’s a really good tactic and it takes a lot of people with surprise, we used the tactic a lot in NoA back in 2007, but the good teams started knowing how we played it, so we were forced to let it go, but we use it now and then ;)
- If they are stacked in yard, however the best with this tactic is if they have like 1 guy in yard, and you throw the right nades so they are smoked/flashed or whatever, they can’t do anything out there. And when you are coming from main/gate into b1 you have 1 or 2 guys in the back who think their mate in the yard got them covered, but no :D!
- If they make a quick ramp rush, it’s really important that the first guy keeps his eyes open for ramp, and if he dies in the beginning of the round the CT’s are in the lead because they have the lobby room
CONCLUSION
This tactic is really simple, the only difficult thing in the tactic is the 3 guys in yard, they have to smoke/flash different spots in yard so they block the CT defense. We used it a lot in NoA and it worked for us most of the times, if we didn’t get the round, it was because we lost the after-plant, or we simply just lost the aim duels. I like this tactic a lot, it’s fast with action!
