mousesports skip SLTV Finals

mousesports have decided to skip the upcoming SLTV StarSeries X Finals on August 30-31 due to the unstable political situation in Ukraine.

The German side were the major surprise of SLTV StarSeries X, as they topped the online group stage, led by new recruit Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli, who finished the season with a 1.34 rating.

After qualifying for the finals a the number one seed, followed by fnatic, HellRaisers and Natus Vincere. They were supposed to face Na`Vi in the opening round of the finals.

mousesports will not attend SLTV Finals in Kiev

allu has now confirmed to HLTV.org that his team will not be traveling to Kiev to attend the finals due to some of the players being concerned over the political situation in Ukraine.

HLTV.org also confirmed that neither Virtus.pro or Titan, next two teams in line for a spot, will be attending the finals next week. Current teams planning on attending are:

The reason why VP is not attending is simple. They were in UK at G3, then bootcamp for ESL. As Taz said in interview, they don’t want to attend any lan for at least month, they prefer spend time with family and practice by playing online.

The difference is, that in Ukraine there is happening a real war between Ukraine army and Seperatists ( they want to be part of Russia ). There is people dying a lot everyday. In Kiev, the situation is quite normal, but it's safer not to go, because you never know what Putin Is up to.

I won't argue with you as I know the majority of Ukrainians are nationalists. You may be furious as Crimea now a part of Russia, but at least people who live there are happy and calm.
