ESWC Masters $25.000 & 3 autoberths

Electronic Sports World Cup announced a new feature this year, as they launched ESWC Masters. The Masters event will be held in ESWC "hometown" Paris, while the Grand Finals will be hosted in San Jose, USA.

ESWC Masters will be a tournament with both prize money, but certainly also an opportunity for the teams to qualify for the Grand Finals. A total of three auto-berth slots will be available at ESWC Masters in Paris. Meaning three teams will have another shot at qualifying for the Grand Finals, should they not qualify through their national qualifier.

The tournament will be a mixture of French and international teams. A total of 20 teams can participate, 4 of them will be French teams, while remaining 16 teams will be open for international teams applying. Candidate applications will open 20th of March and shall be handed in before 20th of May.

The Counter-Strike tournament will also have a total prize purse of $25.000, while total prize purse for the entire event will be $65.000.

ESWC Masters will take place in Paris Bercy, starting July 4th and will find its end July 6th. ESWC Grand Finals will take place 25-27th of August in San Jose, USA.
