NiP comment on ESEA withdrawal

Ninjas in Pyjamas coach Faruk "pita" Pita has commented on the team's decision to quit the ESEA League half way through the season.

On Thursday, HLTV.org broke the news that NiP had pulled out of ESEA's European Invite division, this way forfeiting their remaining ten matches after securing just two victories from their first six encounters in the tournament.

Faruk "pita" Pita, who became NiP's strategy adviser in the build-up to ESL One Cologne, has now explained that "it was a matter of priorities" as the team will focus on DreamHack Winter.

NiP talk about dropping out of ESEA

The Swedish event will take place from November 27 to 30, just one week before the ESEA Finals, and it could well turn out to be another $250,000 major.

"It was close to DreamHack and it was the players themselves who made the decision," Pita told Aftonbladet Esport.

NiP will attend DreamHack Stockholm next week, after which they will begin preparations for the ESWC finals.

Nope, not true. They said this themselves, do you even know what a flight ticket from Scandinavia to Murica costs? And if they have to play for guys like Tweeday, Pita, Heaton etc as well...

What? They are still playing each other at DH the same week and they take DH a little bit more serious than a low prized LAN on the other side of the world pretty much. It's not logical at all for them to go to USA.

Why ESEA crew dont change the event dates? No point to have serious tournament one week before DH. Also if any eu team comes to US they will play without any strats and its fucked up for the viewers.

It's actually one week AFTER dreamhack. Which is also not good because teams will put a lot of preparation for DH and many of them would rather rest a little bit afterward than fly across the atlantic for another tournament.

ooo poor little nerds what will they ever do, they've been rotting in their rooms for 4 months anyway but I guess when you're so malnourished it's hard to go to one tournament and then another whole week after...despite getting paid, seems legit.

So that explains how nip lost 16-6 to epsilon on cobble right? lol come on people.. They also barely won on cobble against ldlc & cloud9 (both 16-14 wins) so it just shows that everyone had enough time to practice it.

NIP members have THEIR OWN forum with valve/map makers to critique maps and get insider info about changes which is pretty unfair. I'm sure NIP (most likely Fifflaren) started a thread in the forum "Boiler room needs a boiler" and voila We have a boiler in boiler
