Ukraine to host ESWC qualifier

The ESWC organisers have announced that Ukraine will have its own qualifier for the upcoming world finals.

Following the announcement of the list with the six invited teams, which included Ninjas in Pyjamas, fnatic and Cloud9, only two spots at the ESWC finals remained up for grabs.

It has now been announced that one slot has been reserved for a Ukrainian qualifier, which will most likely be held online, with details expected to be announced in the coming days.

The last spot has been given to StarLadder, which will apparently host an online qualifier for CIS countries, with details about this tournament being scarce for now.

They play under the CIS flag IIRC, but I forgot that AdreN was replaced by an ukrainian, so they could play under Ukrainian Flag actually. So not sure. Either way, there are 2 qualifiers so both will make it to ESWC anyway.

Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe. The fact that there's a war on 5 % on the territory actually makes it a great destination for tourists, the currency rate is damn low, hence, everything got as cheap as it ever could. Have you been to Ukraine?
