Energy eSports invited for ESWC
The ESWC organisers have announced that South African side Energy eSports have been invited to attend the upcoming world finals.
Energy eSports have become the latest side to receive an invitation to attend the ESWC finals, where they will be joined by another team from Africa, the winner of the Algerian qualifier.
Formerly known as c7e, the South African side made history when they won the first CS:GO tournament in the country, Telkom Do Gaming Insta-Clash Cup November 2013, following a 3-2 victory over Eternal Conflict in the final.
James "zerOchaNce" Wijnberg's side will take the spot that had initially been allocated to Bahrain, which will no longer organise a qualifier for the French event.
Energy eSports will attend the ESWC finals with:
Thulani "LighteRTZ" Sishi
James "zerOchaNce" Wijnberg
Ruan "ELUSIVE" van Wyk
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen
Ashton "Golz" Muller
