Outbreak have announced the double signing of Juan "meisoN" Chacón and José "YuRk0" Aspas.

The Spanish team were recently in action at DreamHack Valencia, where they finished 5th-8th following a 1-2 defeat against HellRaisers in the quarter-finals of this €10,000 tournament.

In recent weeks, Juan "⁠meisoN⁠" Carlos Chacón, formerly of OverGaming, had been acting as a stand-in for Outbreak, who have now decided to bring in the player on a permanent basis. José "⁠YuRk0⁠" Aspas, who played for teams like x6tence, Giants and Wizards during his 1.6 career, has also been recruited after enjoying a brief spell in Hybrid.

Aguila out of Outbreak

These two new players will step into the shoes of Spanish ace Xavi "⁠Aguila⁠" Casals Sabi and ingame leader Chevi "⁠Spanisfury⁠" Gonzalez.

"We had to release Aguila, because of his classes he sometimes gets home at 10 in the evening, which makes it impossible for him to practice with us as much as required," Arturo "sukitRon" Gil told trasgo.net.

"The month I spent in Venezuela changed the motivation of the team, and when we resumed training, people were not putting in the necessary amount of hours.

"We had a meeting and we tried to change some things. But everything remained the same, so we decided that the only thing left to do to was to bring in some fresh blood.

"These changes had nothing to do with Spanisfury's attitude or his skill level. For me he is great as a person and a player, and I am sure we will see him in some top team soon.

"We had deecided to bring in meisoN for a long time. He kills a lot if he is motivated and playing in a role with which he is comfortable.

"For the other place, we tried out some players, and we think YuRk0 is the one that fits the profile the best. Both players will have big shoes to fill, but I am sure he will do it successfully."

Because of this double change, Outbreak have decided against attending the Iberian ESWC qualifier, which will take place this weekend in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, where OverGaming will be the only Spanish team competing.

+1. I will always remember him for his sick performance vs NiP back in the early days of GO. He could have been a great player if he played it seriously and dedicated his time to it. Another wasted talent down the drain.

aguila and one other guy that joined kick, that kick was mighty, and those were the best 2 players in spain. they could of been sick players if they had better teams, although that kick lu was super cool .

yep, when k1ck had aguila, vis together with mut and fox they could really go toe-to-toe with anyone. too bad both of the spaniards had to leave k1ck for the same reasons they're leaving outbreak now :(
