ESEA 17 LAN Finals rescheduled

ESEA has announced that it has rescheduled the upcoming LAN finals to avoid scheduling conflicts with other events.

The North American event was originally scheduled to take place from November 21 to 23rd, less than a week before DreamHack Winter, which is scheduled for November 27-30.

This was the biggest reason why Ninjas in Pyjamas quit the ESEA league half way through the season as the ESL One Cologne champions want to focus on the Swedish event, which could well turn out to be a $250,000 major.

It has now been announced that the ESEA Finals have been moved to December 5-7, in Dallas, after teams admitted they could skip the event if it was held pre-DreamHack Winter.

"We felt that moving the dates would not only relieve stress from the players, but also remove any barriers that would prevent them from attending as many events as possible," an ESEA statement read.

The full event schedule is as follows (though times may be subject to change):

Friday, December 5th:

00:00 All-star Game
01:30 to 06:00 - Upper round 1

Saturday, December 6th:

17:00 to 00:30 - Playoffs up to the Lower Round Finals

Sunday, December 7th:

17:00 to 21:00 - Lower Round Finals and Final

Their record probably didn't have a big role in them dropping out, NiP aren't the team to give up that easily.
