LondonC win ESWC Norway

London Conspiracy won the Norwegian ESWC qualifier following a 2-1 victory over partyastronauts (16-11 on de_mirage and 16-12 on de_nuke.

Held under the wings of ByLAN, the Norwegian ESWC qualifier attracted all the top teams in the country, including London Conspiracy, whose future has been shrouded in mystery after playing most of their online matches in recent weeks with stand-ins.

Back to their traditional lineup, Preben "prb" Gammelsæter's side were handed a heavy blow when they were defeated by partyastronauts in the Upper Bracket Final, which threw them to the wrong end of the bracket.

rain & co to attend ESWC finals

After seeing off Majority Gaming in the Consolidation Final, London Conspiracy got the chance to exact revenge on partyastronauts, who required to win just one map to qualify for the ESWC finals as they came from the Upper Bracket.

Casted by TV2, the grand final was a keenly-contested affair, but in the end LondonC proved their credentials and ran out 2-1 winners after picking up a 16-11 victory on de_mirage and a 16-12 success on de_nuke.

yeah he gets too much flak but he's definitely an example of why the rating system isnt to be taken too seriously that and half of the north american players have insane ratings

I mean, I like Fifflaren I really do and I can't understand all the hate. He's probably better than 80% of the professional players and so on, I mean is in NiP and It's not because he has a good looking (what?. You know? He gets too much hate from the community and I don't even understand how can he "survive" , I've seen like million of retarded comments / mean comments about him even videos and gifs, That's just wrong. I hope he step ups in the future for NiP (I'm pretty sure about that) he already did in the last games so yeah. Always with you Fifflaren!

well being better than 80% of professional players is a bit much depending on what you call professional, if you consider pros like "es4x" professional then yeah that's a stat that sounds right but thats pretty objective if he can get himself to AWP better he'll be a great player but as it stands it's pretty hard to not give some some flak

Rating system is not for the onces not able to think nuanced, analyse, and in generel have a good common sense. As long as you don't you will proeply state that ratings either means to much, or means nothing at all :)

Biggest upset is Majority Gaming, I dont know the average age on these guys, but they are young, and clearly they can compete on a high level at LAN. Partyastronauts also shows great potential, I wonder how it would have gone if they had rain in the lineup (previously a PA-player). London Conspiracy wins as expected, but great to see PA win a map (16-8 on dd2) and Majority Gaming place above teams like Teklubben and Expert-Gaming. Seems the norwegian scene is growing.

Well done by LC, deserved! Hope they will do some damage at ESWC :) But.. "the Norwegian ESWC qualifier attracted all the top teams in the country" Among others, the following teams attended GIGACON this very weekend competing for approx 7300euros: Temp.no: day tacky moen korn leffa AGENT: ultra microvan cyph skinix fhorze Old But Gold: stinger warclown utrolig latterli tiller oxzyn: m1kkis phnien kalle oben vertigo (mixteam) Flipsid3 Tactics: twist berg robiin dumas bendji Team Property: delpan zet jumpy spitfire emilio MyXMG.female: hayss hedje aurora hellrose mattye Also some other half decent norwegian and swedish teams in the BYOC but I cant remember lineups. The whole event had production by KaosTV and the TV channel Viasat4.

Well, considering that all those teams was established just for that event, I would call all of them mixteams. And I sincerely believe none of the norwegian teams would have stood any chance at ByLAN. Except the swedish ones ofcourse. I think it is right to say that the top teams was at ByLAN, while the mixteams went to Gigacon hoping for an easy pay.
