FMPONE's new de_season released

Shawn "FMPONE" Snelling has released the last version of his new de_season into the Steam workshop.

Snelling has been working on the new de_season for some time now, and with the old version passing 100,000 subscribers, the community has grown hungry for the new one.

The completely revamped version has been released for public play only four hours ago, but community players have already found a number of bugs, which are now being worked on by the creator.

You can download the new map in the Steam workshop here, where you can also point out what you think about the map or let Snelling now about some of the problems you have encountered.

iBUYPOWER's former player, Eric "⁠adreN⁠" Hoag, has put together a walkthrough video, which you can watch by hitting play below and see what the map looks like:

I remember reading somewhere (probably on the mapmaking forums) that the new season achieves better fps than cache, so I doubt that fps will be an issue.

I preferred the old Season too aesthetically, but admittedly if the map was going to make it into the Valve map pool then this theme/design is extremely viable.

I really like the idea he has done with making it into a modern building, just tone down the brightness of the colours a little, and maybe add a tiny bit more colour variation and it would be fantastic.

if I have not ever seen classic season maybe would have said ok, there is something to it, let us have defuse version of cs_office. but its not the case. Classic is so much better and natural to dusty and industrial nature of cs.

For some reason this reminds me a lot of de_prodigy, something about the A-bombsite just reminds me of one of the bombsites on that map. Nice map anyway, I'd much rather play this than the current version of season that is played on ESEA.

This is how maps should be made, not exactly like it, but visibility-wise. There should not be parts of the map where you can blend in with, this isn't a stealth game.

I've never played season, but my god that looks great. Very nicely designed map, great textures, very detailed and still it's very simplistic. The simplicity kinda reminds me of 1.6. Can't wait for this map in matchmaking ;D
