Cloud9, iBUYPOWER to FACEIT Finals

Cloud9 and iBUYPOWER have topped the North American regular season for FACEIT League and will be representing the continent at the Finals on October 24-26.

After an online-only season in the spring, FACEIT announced a massive $50,000 season two for the fall with Finals to be played on LAN in Milan in late October.

Now the North American regular season has finished, with Cloud9 topping the season, finishing undefeated at 5-0, even beating iBUYPOWER at last.

iBUYPOWER clinch a spot at the Finals in Milan

Last night iBUYPOWER clinched the second finals spot by overcoming Denial in a triple overtime match, overcoming six match points and Keven "AZK" Lariviere's computer issues.

Joining the two North American giants in Milan will be fnatic and LDLC, who both have guaranteed a spot, while the other spots are still up for grabs in Europe.

FACEIT League Season 2 Finals will feature a whopping $50,000 prize purse and be held on October 24-26 at Milan Games Week in Italy.

HLTV.org will be on-site in Milan to provide you with full coverage of the Finals, which will feature a total of six teams going head-to-head for the title.

I want to see Denial at international LANs, but I think they first need some further roster refinement before they can become a serious contender and disrupt the "only two good NA teams" status quo.

i'm with you 100% on that one. I wanted denial to win so badly only because i wanted to see a team other than C9 and IBP at international lans and they played so well and are showing so much promise. With a little more time assuming they stay together they can do some real damage and compete with IBP and c9 and hopefully on an international level.

I think their problem is they are VERY good at dust2, but just an average NA team on all the other maps.

Is Steel the only pro USA/Canada cs player of the golden error still playing cs? I remember watching him for the first time in Team 3D at CPL I think? in 2002.

AZK has been around for a while. Not sure when he started CS pro but he played cod1 in like 2004 then moved on to CS full time.

Let's see if iBuyPlanetickets remains just that, or can do something this time around. Or at any of these upcoming LAN's.

Can anyone tell me why LDLC have guaranted spot? - They have at this moment 24 points - if VP win 2 matches today - this will give them 27 points - If NIP wins vs LDLC they will have 24 points both - Dignitas have 3 matches today on faceit, if they win 3 of them they will have 27 points So how LDLC can have guaranted spot?

They beat NIP both times so they should go over NIP But they are not guaranteed a spot there is a weird way they could go out. Also one of VP match is versus Fnatic so they probably will have 24 points as well Also dig and VP have to face each other today so neither can win all the matches
