LDLC overrun Na`Vi

LDLC are through to the Upper Bracket final at StarSeries XI finals following a 2-0 demolition job on Natus Vincere (16-8 on de_overpass, 16-7 on de_inferno).

On de_overpass, LDLC, who started off on the CT side, claimed bragging rights first as they easily stopped Na`Vi's B push, much because of Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt's double frag at the entrance of the bombsite.

LDLC won the following two anti-eco rounds with ease and also the first two gun rounds to take the scoreline to 6-0. Things were not looking great for Na`Vi, but the Frenchmen were held off in the following round as Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács and Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko cleared the path towards the B site with a double and a triple kill. respectively.

Na`Vi followed that up with another round to break LDLC's economy, but the French side then stunned the home side while on eco, with NBK- getting two crucial kills before Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey killed the remaining three opponents.

LDLC remained in the driving for most of the first half, but a reaction from Na`Vi in the final rounds saw the Ukrainian side reduce the deficit to 4-11.

In the second half, Na`Vi came out strongly and won the first three rounds, with GuardiaN picking up three stunning kills in the pistol round, but LDLC were far too hot for their opponents in gun play as the French side would lose just one more round before securing a 16-8 victory.

NBK turned up the heat on de_inferno

Next up was de_inferno, where LDLC, who began on the CT side, came out the brighter as they picked up the first two rounds of the half. A full buy from Na`Vi in the third round paid off as the Ukrainians reduced the deficit to 1-2.

LDLC then regained control of the match and picked up a staggering 12 rounds in a row as they executed an almost flawless CT side to become just two rounds away from victory.

Na`Vi closed the gap in the second half by picking up the first three rounds, but not without a couple of scares, especially in the anti-eco rounds. A triple kill from NBK- in the fourth round put LDLC on the brink of victory, and even though Na`Vi managed to string a few rounds together, there was simply nothing they could do to keep the Frenchmen from winning the map.

It's not meaningless, but it's way harder to comeback and put the rounds you need when you are leading and get comebacked because of the momentum, while when you loose you usually know it's because of the side and that you will comeback anyway. And even though I'd agree for overpass, it's not like inferno was fucking unplayable as T so yeah, there's nothing here, they got rekt on the most balanced map and while being an old team against a team relatively new.

Because all teams are shit and have terrible strategies, also if you do a good half score like 12-3 and you manage to pull out the pistol, you basically won the game easily, ezpzlmnsqz. Of course it's not meaningless, but you can't say starting T side on inferno is a big disadvantage, specially for a team that has a player who is known for being a mindgamer.

no, what i'm saying is it doesn't decide the outcome of the game. you make it sound like it's default win if you start on easier side. overpass is bullshit though, starting ct is almost default win. but look at HR the other day, the were down 1-14 on overpass and brought it to overtime when they were ct. so it's never an excuse to lose the game because of it.
