ESWC casters announced

The ESWC organisers have announced the casting lineup for the upcoming world finals, in Paris.

The 11th edition of the ESWC world finals will run from October 30 to November 2 at the Porte de Versailles, in Paris, as part of French capita's Games Week fair.

Seven tournaments will be taking place at the event, with CS:GO taking up more than half of the total $116,000 prize purse. The male tournament will give away $50,000, while the female competition will feature cash prizes of $10,000.

Roomonfire to cast the ESWC finals

After the groups and the schedule were released earlier in the month, the ESWC organisers have now announced that Corey "dunN" Dunn and Julia "Miss Rage" Kreuzer will be hosting the event, while Roomonfire duo Anders Blume and Auguste "Semmler" Massonat will be responsible for casting the CS:GO tournaments.

ok first of all maybe try to understand the differences between a caster and an analyst. during a match = time for a caster after the match or during breaks = time for an analyst. maybe its still a bit to hard for you to understand it with your limited brain so i'll explain it a little bit. its a casters job to deliver emotions etc. and redeye is doing exactly that with his unique voice and his style to cast. its totally stupid to call him a bad caster only because his analysis are not good which is kinda obvious as he lacks of experience in csgo, but its bullshit because 95% of all casters are pretty clueless about the game. casting is about entertaining as main priority, paired with gameknowledge and analysis and thats why redeye > all csgo casters atm

What a bullshit. Just look for the best casters, korean sc:bw osl casters. This guys provide everything, hype, background info, stats, anaylis. They are like Tosspot, Semmler, jzfb, Thoorin in one person. If they can do this why white casters cant do this too? Day9 from sc is preatty cloe to this korean ideal. In general starcraft casters are good in everyhing so why cant we expect the same from cs casters? Both games are equally big now. If you can only read who killed who you just suck. 95 % of other casters at least have basics covered and have a clue. You dont need to be pro player to understand the game. Korean commentators, casters and coauches udnerstand the game as good as players. Redeye has understangign on a level of total noob. It s pathetic. Even Tosspot is 10x better.

Am I the only one to think that this can't work? this is 4 days of nonstop cs and all they've got is 2 casters? Even though Anders and Semmler are used to long days of casting, this is an offline event. There are lots of trubles such as traveling, setting up etc involved that it is literally impossible to cast 10 hours straight, four days and still deliver an exciting show. +2 more casters please...

Without questioning Corey's and Julia's knowledge i can say that hosts and hostesses don't need to know much about the game to be able to do their job properly. I don't have any problems with the crew members, only how this event starts to look like. Looks like CS is going down the LoL road. We don't need pretty girls up on the stage just to ask 2-3 questions from the players after every match and we don't need hosts just to summerize every game in a sentence then do the 'back to you Anders and Semmler'. All who wanted to watch some pro cs this week had a rough time due to delays and ddos and now even this faceit lan. We have a national day here in Hungary today, but i woke up at 9 to watch some ddos-free CS but hell no, they couldn't drag their asses down by 9, delays continue until 12-13. I don't want ESWC to be LoL worlds 2014 where you had an hour between every game of a BO3, because of the interviews, analyzes, winner vote, reading up tweets (like what the fuck??) and some breaks too. Only thing i want (and a large part of the community too i think) is as much cs as possible, without the extra interactions just to kill time. Probably the fastest, simplest way would be just to get 2 casters with a player sitting in when they can get one.

It always looks like you dont have an idea about cs. Your decisions are always far from optimal. 2 hosts + 2 casters is just plain stupid. Just hire semmler as host/caster, dunn as host/caster, anders as caster and some analizer like lurppis to bring brain. Now you have only 2 casters and 2 "useless" people. No people to analyze.
