E4US to miss ESWC

Algerian side E4US will not be able to attend the ESWC finals due to visa problems, HLTV.org has learned.

The Algerian team had qualified for the ESWC event after winning the national finals last month and were due to face HellRaisers on Friday in their first match of the tournament.

However, team member Taibi "Lyhn" Youssef has told HLTV.org that the Algerian Ministry of Culture and the organisation responsible for the local ESWC qualifier took too long to send the paperwork required to obtain a visa.

As such, E4US' players will not be allowed to leave the country, effective ruling the team out of the $50,000 tournament, which kicks off on Thursday.

Group C will now feature the following five teams:

ESWC France winner

NiP

HellRaisers

CPH Wolves

KaBuM

They had like two months to get a visa to france when most algerians are fluent french speakers. ESWC should ban the organization responsible for this from hosting any future events & ban every algerian team from future events.

Why do you consider this to be retarded? A visa to france approximately takes one week, if they were being late it would take 2weeks. They qualified to the event approximately 40days ago.

If you want to apply to a french visa you have to wait for one to three monts depending on the period. After this period only you can give them the required documents and wait for another week. So please if you dont know algeria, you can expect anything ^^

Nice behaviour. Actually,the community is growing worldwide and I find pretty nice that teams from all over the world can compare themselves to the best teams of EU & NA. We all know that they're weaker than average EU/NA teams so is it a reason to not take a shot ? Remember ESWC 2011, when another algerian team faced Na`Vi and lost "only" 16-9. I hope not everyone's thinking like you, it would be sad. Following ur logic, your "Vox Eminor" should not have wasted money for the last major.
