Virtus.pro, fnatic make it to top4

Virtus.pro and fnatic have made it to semi-finals of ESWC after beating dignitas 2-1 (16-9 de_overpass, 14-16 de_inferno, 16-12 de_mirage) and HellRaisers 2-0 (16-11 de_nuke, 16-10 de_inferno), respectively.

HellRaisers were fighting for survival in the tournament with fnatic with de_nuke as the first map. In spite of the Ukrainian-based team starting off as Counter-Terrorists, fnatic got comfortable seven points before switching to the other half.

There, the Swedes went on to lose the pistol round, but replied only two rounds afterwards with only pistols. Until the end of the match they only lost one round with Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson putting up big numbers once again for a 16-11 scoreline.

fnatic began as Counter-Terrorists on de_inferno, as it was their map pick, and that time around it was Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer showing up in great form, getting multiple frags in most of the rounds his team won.

Their 12-3 advantage was soon lowered to only three rounds by HellRaisers, but it only lasted for so long, since fnatic started putting them on the back foot again after winning two rounds in a row, soon turned into a 16-10 win.

dignitas' match with Virtus.pro began on de_overpass, the latter's pick, who also chose the Counter-Terrorists side, which ended up being very solid at 11-4. As much as dignitas wanted to get back to the match, their CT side wasn't nearly as solid, ending up with 5-5 and 16-9 in the end.

de_inferno was much more entertaining, dignitas went over from the defending side with a 9-6 lead, but wound up losing the second pistol. Since the rounds went back and forth, dignitas found themselves down 14-11 when they had to try a desperate forcebuy.

They also changed up the pace, opted for a quick A split with CZ75s and two AK-47s, which paid off and got them back into the match. When they turned it around for map point, it almost looked like Virtus.pro could be able to take it to overtime, but Nicolai "device" Reedtz's triple pushed his team over the top at 16-14.

TaZ's Virtus.pro make it to top four

de_mirage was chosen as the third map, where Virtus.pro were the slight favourites, and started off strong with a 6-0 lead before dignitas started scraping some rounds together.

At 8-5 Virtus.pro were on the verge of having to go on a low forcebuy in case dignitas won, but that was not the case, as the Poles held on for both remaining rounds for 10-5 partially thanks to Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski's triple in middle.

A won pistol for dignitas meant they would stay in the match for much longer, and they even seemed to be back on track at 14-12, just when they lost a two-on-one due to miscommunication, which cost them the match in the end at 16-12, 2-1.

Best coverage by hltv in months thanks to the comeback of interviews! GJ Striker & MIRAA <3! Also exceptional casting by Jordan. I enjoyed one of the last rounds, when VP executing a strat on T side of mirage, as Jordan was faboulously explaining the proceedings of VP attack and Anders was trying to butt in with his stupid "uuh, hmm, haah", completely lost for anything interesting to say. Then, he finally skipped into Jordans flow saying "Oh terrorists are spread all around the map..." Oh my God, are you kidding me, 2 years in the scene, still so lame. The sad side of the story is, that there's simply noone better at this point :(

Listening to my girlfriend having a shit is better caster. Majority of us have to watch him mainly due to DDOS attacks (if I leave aside his hard work), not his brilliance. Btw: If you like his casting, you might also enjoy his dance moves youtube.com/watch?v=p6Eaz-1_3iA#t=175
