LDLC & fnatic pull out of Caseking

LDLC and fnatic have both withdrawn from the Caseking King of Kings online tournament, HLTV.org has learned.

Just 24 hours before the start of Caseking King of Kings, an online tournament featuring a €7,500 prize pool, the organisers had to find two last-minute replacements as ESWC and fragbite Masters finalists LDLC and fnatic both pulled out of the cup.

Last week, it was Natus Vincere who decided against taking part in the tournament, with North American side Cloud9, who are currently bootcamping in Stockholm, being brought in as a replacement.

fnatic and LDLC will skip King of Kings

Meanwhile, the Caseking King of Kings organisers have confirmed to HLTV.org that EPS Germany champions Planetkey Dynamics will replace LDLC, while mousesports will fill in for fnatic.

They should get fined for that. These guys should be signing contracts as this causes so much hassle for cups. Imagine football teams doing that. Soz cba!

have you considered LDLC/Fnatic point of view? They did 3 events in 3 week and idk about you, but I'd be hella burned out after that. Of course they shouldve thought about that in the beginning, but still. Cut the teams some slack.

Sorry but thats what you do when you play games professionally. You attend events and win money. They know of all events id say roughly 2 months in advance. Its online and they have been in EU so its not like jet lagged or anything.

You can't make sense if you don't use logic or proper grammar. NiP, Virtus Pro, Cloud 9, and Titan are top teams otherwise they would not be invited to several of the best events nor would they be backed by good organizations / sponsors.

Honestly people think just because fnatic are playing at such a high level other top teams aren't worth mentioning. Nip have a lot to prove but them and a handful of other teams participating in this event are AMONG the best in the world. I fail to see how people cant phathom the idea of any of these teams besting fnatic in bo3s. Even if fnstic are favored and more likely to win everytime atm. Just my 2 cents.

still good event, and now there is a real intrigue for top1 spot

any team that hopes to be top6 in dhw should retire from caseking. except 1-2 teams who can run and aim @ caseking for osme easy money. also, virtus pro would never say no to any ammount. if they'd had a lan/day til dhw with 200 euros prize each, they would be there.

When you remove three of the absolute best and most exciting teams to watch... yeah. 4 first tier and 4 second tier teams

this is a huge blow to Room On Fire, the professional scene is pretty much telling them their tournament/series is the lowest priority on their list.

I think it will be more entertaining now... because even if LDLC or Fnatic got upset... you can just expect the other to win then... Now we have a completely open tournament with NiP as the favorites of course, but a chance for the other teams to show whose can step up for DHW. also SUPER excited to see Maik play with NiP.
