SoA win Danish ESCW spot!

Today saw the final of the

Danish ESWC tournament to determine the winners of the Danish finals spot at ESWC 2006 in

Paris on the 30th of June.

After the Danish LAN SLKS we found out that the two teams that would be competing for the spot would be SoA and Evermore, and today we found out that in-fact SoA would be flying the Danish flag at ESWC 2006!

The first map de_inferno was a very close one; SoA looked to be doing well from the start but a strong Evermore team came back on the CT side to take the map 16:13; but sadly for Evermore, this is where things started to go wrong! On the 2nd map de_nuke SoA seemed to come to life, and completely decimated Evermore 16:02, managing to totally steam-roll them on the CT side of the map. Moving into de_dust2 Evermore seemed to be lost, confused and disheartened by the last map, they lost all of their confidence and were again annihilted by SoA 16:03; SoA stood up to be counted and have now surely proven to one and all that they are without question the #1 team in Denmark today!

Of course... Only real team in the entire event. Danish CS is a joke atm :S

SoA have a chance at ESWC if they practice, don't forget there still a young team.

SoA is in good form, but I'm not sure atm whether or not they can serioulsy compete with the bigger teams. Time will tell :D

If they practice alot and bootcamp up untill the event, then I think they will make a good figure :) Good Luck to SoA ;)

I believe you're right, many see them as Underdogs, and could maybe think that the match against SoA could be a walkover, but SoA ain't weak, and not just because I'm a Dane that I believe this. SoA has a strong team, no matter what :)

Very true, SoA is a strong team although i think there ct side tactics are letting them down a bit, but usually with most clans, even non-professional the ct side tactics are the ones that will win you the match, hence why on most maps people choose the attacking team, this gives them the advantage on even sided maps. Although maps like nuke for example I find them to be very ct sided with the layout of the maps, its very difficult to predict movement, but also the two bombsites are realitivly close, thus giving fast reactions times for the cts to take the sites before the terrors can get into defensive postitions. Moral of the story, SoA is a strong attacking team, but has a few bugs in there defending. Can always be fixed just by practice and keep on those pcws.
