ALEX leaves x6tence

The news came just before the start of the Iberian qualifier for the ESL Pro League, in which x6tence and k1ck are favoured to secure the one spot in the $48,000 European league that is up for grabs in the region.

Alejandro "⁠alex⁠" Masanet, who joined the squad in August, when they were still playing under OverGaming, has stepped down from the lineup as he would be unable to commit enough time to the team in the coming months.

Replacing the ex-gBots member in x6tence is former ASES member Miguel "⁠drifking⁠" García Bermell, who will be acting as a stand-in until the end of the year.

"You know that we have spent a lot of time working on the foundations of this team and that one of the keys has been the stability of the roster," said team captain Jonathan "MusambaN1" Torrent.

“This year we have made very few changes, but once more we are forced to change one player, this time ALEX. He made the decision to leave the team for different reasons, especially because he did not see himself spending long periods away from home, which is what we are aiming for in the short and medium run.

"For this reason, we decided to bring in drifking until the end of the year as a stand-in for the events that are ahead.

"Our goal is to add him permanently after GAMERGY, but that is something that does not depend on us. drifking has the profile we were looking for, and we hope his performances will match our expectations."

x6tence are currently in the quarter-final stage of the Iberian qualifier for the ESL Pro League, and are due to face Portuguese side TBA on Thursday evening, at 20:00 .
