nEophyte top BGCH 2014

nEophyte came out on top of BenQ Grunex Challenge 2014 held during HRAY! Expo at Prague-Holešovice on November 14-15 after beating ENSOX 2-0 (16-7 de_overpass).

During the last few months eight teams have been battling in the BGCH Stars league for seeds in the playoffs, which handed out six spots for the $1,800 LAN finals this weekend.

Two best teams from the group phase, nEophyte and Virtual-World, got a direct pass to the LAN finals, while the other six and four more from online qualifiers had to go through the playoffs for the remaining four spots in Prague.

EERINESS, ENSOX, GUNRUNNERS and Visnovy Sad joined the two mentioned above in Friday's group stage, consisting of two groups of three teams. Top two from each group got to play in the upper bracket, while the third placed had to go through from the lower bracket.

ENSOX were the big surprise of the tournament, as they managed to place second in their group and beat EERINESS afterwards before they dropped out to the lower bracket following a loss to nEophyte in the upper final.

The youngsters from ENSOX were matched up to EERINESS again, who pulled through in matches versus Visnovy Sad and Virtual-World, but fell short once again, placing third overall. ENSOX couldn't give nEophyte a run for their money even this time around, as the latter confirmed their number one position and went home with $1,130.

I think so, the entire team is from Russian speaking countries, but they all live in Prague afaik. They even speak Russian to each other.

Once I saw KAPARZO and their roster in a hungarian offline event. And they packed home at best of 16. Strength SK/CZ scene. I miss the old Reason with PhP&GuardiaN

Naaah. This is true for all SK/CZ teams. uno&styko was in CSGO early in 2013 for example. They failed like every team from your country in Hungary. Yeah I know, it was long time ago and that game was different.

It's true, I just highlighted two names from the team. =)

actually me, UN, pR, sometimes bazy and sneix play matchmaking occasionally while having a good laugh on it :) guys in nEph are very talented and I wish them best :)
