Virtus devour NiP in King of Kings

Virtus.pro have advanced to the Caseking King of Kings grand final after a 2-0 (16-9 de_inferno, 16-8 de_mirage) win over the new NiP lineup.

Virtus.pro started the series with an early 6-0 lead on the terrorist side of de_inferno. NiP won seven of the next eight rounds, but Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski's heroics got his team the lead.

Up 8-7 after the significantly harder side of the map, NiP could not muster a comeback in the second half, as Virtus reduced them to just two terrorist rounds to win 16-9.

byali was a monster in Virtus.pro's 2-0 win

After a short break play resumed on de_mirage, where Virtus once again had a strong start as terrorists, ultimately leading to a dominant 10-5 lead on the harder side.

The Swedes, led by Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg, fought back in the second half despite losing the pistol round, but once again to no avail, as they lost 8-16, and 0-2 overall.

I still think twist works way better for nip than maikelele will. I'm not that type to quickly judge a "new team" but in this case it's only one player replacement and I know how maikelele plays from his former teams. I just couldn't and still can't see what synergy they might have. Either way, nips actual REAL problem is they just are lacking behind in tactics and confidence. They don't have the same sick nading/molotov/smoking techniques the other teams have.

NIP players should use their old mice, their old mousepads and old guns without silenced weapons and without cz. nip getting worse with game updates (cz, m4a1) and player mouses (rival etc.)

Wow, the NiP players were all terrible. It's like they didn't know what to do most of the time. They obviously have NO confidence, and can't rely on eachother the same whey they did back in the day when the team was like a calibrated killing machine. Everyones eyes are on them, and they probably feel a lot of preassure, but this was just terrible.

Ofcourse NiP's current form wasn't only because of fifflaren. They were all missing easy shots, making stupid decisions and today the lack of communication was so obvious. Seems like they just lost the will to win, or at least the fun while playing. They're no going to win anything big untill they can get that back somehow.

Didn't actually see the match, but my guess is that what seems like made them lose is just them collectively having a bad day. There's no one to put on the spot (looking over stats) who is to blame for the loss. Even Maikelele with -10 isn't too bad of a result, given the full result of the two maps. NiP just needs more time to be shaken together, and I would assume they are still saving some endgame for dreamhack? Not that VP isn't, but it's easier to just go with it, while having played together for a longer amount of time - and everyones role in the team is set in stone. Too bad NiP, don't let this affect yuo and come back in full form for DHW!

I don't disagree, but I think it's tough to judge them on this performance. You can say what you want, but the NiP players don't always play like this, it was a terrible performance by them, where they didn't even hit the most basic shots. Judging them from this performance, would be like judging Manchester United losing to MKDons (sorry for football reference). It happens once in a while, but yeah.. It does happen.

They need to catch up with all the top teams tactics wise. They're clearly behind on both ct and t. They might also want to try and play around eksems awp. They didn't really set him up like the other teams with great awper usually do. Some of his awping problems this game were purely on him though, he was repeeking wayyy too much. They also need to find a way to have get_right be get_right again. He has been playing pretty standard lately and he's not all that impressive when he's not catching people off guard.

to be fair on mirage from the start to finish there were only 2 rounds which maikelele could afford an awp, one which he made a clutch 1v3.

After three "official" games it's safe to say: remove Maikelele. Iamrite? Also, NiP being the most successful team in CS:GO, it's probably the most watched team, not only to observe the individual talent, but the strats they are using. I would say, and this is so far out there so bare with me, they aren't showing everything they got with a major just in two weeks. Unthinkable! Someone will win (or lose) A TON of skins in DW, that's for sure.
